    1Y 7M for the 2027 season with a 10M club option for 2028
    3M buyout if club denies 2028 option
    10M guaranteed

    In my mind that is essentially a 2Y 17M extension
    No way do they not bring him back for 10M in '28, even if he wasn't going to be the starter anymore

    Muncy has left so much money on the table to be a Dodger
    Respect it and feel bad for him tbh

    The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to terms with IF Max Muncy on a one-year contract extension for $10 million guaranteed, which includes a $7 million salary for the 2027 season and a $10 million club option for 2028.

    yeah i stop waaaaay short of feeling sorry for him
    he's set for life w a handful of championship rings and those memories
    sure he might have gotten a few more dollars elsewhere but that clearly didn't matter as much as staying in LA
    dude was nearly minor league ballast never to be heard from again and damn what a life!
    i remember first seeing him and thinking who the fuck is this fat munchkin dude it was like a weird joke
    up until that first game no one had ever mentioned him
