    The Mets traded away their No. 3 and No. 5 prospects for Freddy Peralta, who posted a 4.99 ERA this season.

    Four months later they traded him for the Rays' No. 15, No. 26, and No. 27 prospects.

    Thats how it's done.

    The 2005 Yankees payroll was 70% higher than the second-highest team in MLB that season.

    The 2026 Dodgers payroll (including luxury taxes, according to Spotrac) is 15% higher than the No. 2 team.

    At this point, I actually want to see the Dodgers win it all again.

    Not because I’m a Dodgers fan, but because I respect the fact that they are obsessed with winning!

    Their front office doesn’t care about outside opinions, payroll jokes, or the criticism that comes with spending. Their only focus is stacking championships for their city and their fans.

    Whether you love them or hate them, you have to respect an organization that’s willing to do whatever it takes to win. No excuses.

    It’s a pretty good time to be a Dodgers fan.

    He's an upgrade over any of our 3rd string catchers, yes, but idk if I can call this move huge
    He's got familiarity with our staff which is a plus
    He can catch the ball which is a plus
    But he'll be dfad if/when Will Smith comes back and the Mets will claim him off waivers again

    Lol, how many times have the Dodgers claimed or acquired him?

    At this point Rortvedt should just establish a second residence in LA, or at a minimum keep a card on file with a local hotel.
