Sad to think how many on the roster can easily fill that blank.

Probably should have included a shot of him in line at the local Golden Corral.

Interesting listen. Love the statuettes behind Maddon. Says a lot about the man.

    @billplunkettocr
Tyler Glasnow made his final rehab start with OKC tonight. Retired 16 of 18 batters faced including 11 in a row at one point. Struck out 9, 1 hit, 1 walk. 77 pitches in 5⅓ IP. Inherited runner scored after he left the game. Look for him to start for #Dodgers in ATL next week.

    two starts later…

Love Rojas but I can't tolerate Mookie until he gets his OBP over .299

Second year in a row Teo has hit the skids after a hot start.

A year ago in April he was .310/.325/..621/.946 Never returned to form after the groin injury in May.

This year he was the Dodgers' best hitter in the spring (.459/.487/.811/1.298). He was killing it. Started a bit slow in April, but recovered in May (.325/.400/.482/.882). The came the hamstring injury and he went to shit again. He's recovered a little in August but has never gotten back in a consistent groove. Very frustrating watching him chase breaking balls in the left hand hitter's box.

If all that " never" shit is true about Tucker, then this falls like a ton of shit on FF/ front office like a crystal bullet to theforehead, to quote Brando.
Don't you examine and do some basic research on a guy you're offering a wheelbarrow of cash to about his degree of commitment ? On a team with FF and Mookie, both HoFers ( we're told constantly, anyway), both extremely hard workers on baseball skills ? Just what we needed...another guy who sits back like a fucking schlub with his feet up, JUST LIKE THE MANAGER.
Or has someone told him to posture himself like other managers and can the beach chair look in the dugout since the shit tailspin ?

doesn't sound like a resounding refutation of the accusations exactly. still not necessarily the best path to just start grinding. it does seem like mental breakdown of some sort. gets tricky.

The claim that Kyle Tucker never puts in extra work is contradicted by reports indicating he has significantly increased his effort during his 2026 slump with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

    • Increased Postgame Work: Tucker has been staying late to hit front toss in batting cages long after teammates have left, a habit described as a rarity for him in previous years.

    • Managerial Observation: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated that Tucker "won't run from the work," noting that he has likely put in more extra time over the past three months than in the previous three years.

    • Coaching Adjustments: Hitting coach Aaron Bates has been working with Tucker to adjust his stance and swing mechanics to help him stay balanced and improve his barrel rate.
While Tucker has a historical reputation for being reserved and less vocal about seeking feedback, the current evidence suggests he is actively grinding to resolve his offensive struggles rather than neglecting his development.

fwiw, and i'll also post in the game thread...

Tonight, Dodger fans are expected to give struggling right fielder Kyle Tucker a standing ovation.

Whether those in attendance choose to participate or not, what stands out to me is how many of Tucker’s teammates have publicly voiced their support for him and made it clear they have his back through this difficult season.

At the end of the day, when the guys in that clubhouse believe in you and stand behind you, everything else has a way of falling into place.

Breaking: The Dodgers are optioning Emmet Sheehan back down to the minor leagues and calling up Paul Gervase.

Sheehan was just called up a few days ago to provide long relief, but he did not make an appearance, only throwing in the bullpen once.

Would rather they develop young arms like Sheehan's for the pen. Enough with the AAA journeymen.

maybe they can give him a fake championship trophy and ring so he can feel better about himself? show a highlight of his one walk off hit and patch together some AI defensive clips where he actually catches the ball and the fans go wild! then a chauffer in an open back limo can take him for a couple laps around the diamond as diaz's trumpets play everyone's a winner baby. finishes w basshole giving him a reach around at home plate kyle! kyle! kyle! woohoooooooo
