    Tonight, the fellas are expected to give our good friend Kyle Tucker the due respect that someone of his pedigree deserves.

    Whether those in attendance choose to participate or not, what stands out to me is how many of Tucker's teammates have publicly voiced their support for him and made it clear they are watching party members closely to ensure proper and due respect is paid.

    At the end of the day, when the good guys in that clubhouse respect you and got your back, everyone else has a way of falling in line... if you know what I mean.

    pretty rare to see a young pitcher come up in the pen. sure they might get some long relief to start with but always w a design to get them back to starting. even Gagne was a starter until they threw him a lifeline and some roids. money is definitely better for the starters.

    I'm really bumming about the Pages injury. Other than Ohtani (in non-pressure ABs), Freddie, and Max, he's the only one whom I'm actually optimistic about when in the batter's box. Tucker was supposed to be that but has failed, Teo used to be that but is no longer, and Mookie hasn't been in a couple of years. Edman can be but has been inconsistent. In any case, this will be a true test to see if the rest of the team can rally to pick up the slack. Betts, Teo, Tommy, Smith when he returns, and especially Tucker have to all have better at bats to make up for Pages' absence, as well as the platoon players. If there's been any complacency, it's time for that to end.

    The Dodgers are expected to call up outfielder Alek Thomas with Andy Pages landing on the IL with a hand fracture, sources tell The Athletic. Dodgers acquired the former Arizona OF earlier this year. Has had an .855 OPS with OKC and, most importantly, can play CF.

    so we’ll have three outfielders who can’t hit, and only one who can play defense
    thomas will essentially be kelly leak out there, trying to run down everything from foul pole to foul pole

    The Dodgers are calling up OF Alek Thomas, according to @FabianArdaya. He'll replace Andy Pages who'll be put on the IL with a fractured left hand.

    Thomas, 26, is slashing .297/.361/.498 in 244 plate appearances with the OKC Comets.

    Max Muncy will earn $15,000 per plate appearance for rest of 2026 season
    Dodgers’ 3B Max Muncy has now eclipsed 400 plate appearances for this season, activating a unique incentive package. Muncy will earn $15,000 for every plate appearance from 401-to-550. Additionally his 2027 salary escalates $20,000 for each plate appearance from 401-to-500, and $35,000 each for 501-to-550.

    Some updates from Dave Roberts:
    - Shohei Ohtani threw 30 pitches, will likely need one more live BP
    - Tyler Glasnow starts Tuesday in ATL
    - Justin Wrobleski will be a 2-3 inning reliever when he returns in Sept.
    - Edwin Díaz will get a “softer landing” when he returns in Sept.
    - expect Alek Thomas to start in CF vs. RHP, TBD vs. LHP (Edman, K. Hernández are options)
    - surgery is on the table for Andy Pages’ fractured hand, but that won’t affect his timetable.
