The complete downfall of Tucker's defense tells me he just doesn't care about baseball
Anytime I hear an ex-player talk about the game, they always say something to the affect of defense never slumps like offense
The only time defense gets substantially worse is when the guy's heads not in the game

That's just horrendous. A zero fWAR and the most runs allowed by poor defense in RF. And getting paid 60 million dollars. Why isn't pride motivating him? If I were in that situation I'd feel like I was scamming the fans and I'd be doing everything I could to change. He's a disgrace.

PS. I didn't want Bellinger at the time, but look at the graphic... now I wish we signed him instead.

Lol. PAAdres Miller gives up 2 in the bottom of the ninth to blow the save. Then they take a one-run lead in the 11th but allow 2 in the bottom for the loss.

FWIW... Tibbs the Third is not in OKC's lineup tonight.

    @DodgersBeat
Dave Roberts was asked about platooning Teoscar Hernandez against lefties. He said they are discussing if they call up a left handed bat from triple-a. Two options at OKC Ryan Ward and James Tibbs.

He also said they player have held player only meetings in that interview
Don't mean to sound hyperbolic but this is the most concerning thing to me
Anytime a team has a players only meaning, the team is fucking COOKED
Feeling a WC round exit this year

Give Tibbs the shot. Ward looked overmatched earlier this year. Couldn't lay off or couldn't catch up to high fastballs. An Outman-like hole in his swing.

They have until noon Eastern tomorrow to move him to the 40-man.

my guess is it’ll be ward

roberts wants teo to be the LF and ward is far less likely (than tibbs) to do anything to surpass him

there’s also the “not wanting to start the MLB clock on tibbs” argument, but i don’t think that matters as much

roberts’ blind loyalty to the underperforming veterans is annoying as fuck, and any argument that it’s only regular season is null and void since the #1 and #2 seeds are (technically) within reach

maybe should have posted this in the roberts thread but whatev

hoping for tibbs, preparing for ward

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't profess to be an expert on this, but since Ward is already on the 40-man, he's already eligible for the playoffs, right? Even if he's not called up by tomorrow at noon? As are Freeland, Kim, Sheehan, Knack, Wrobo, Treinen, etc. So if there's still a slot open, shouldn't Tibbs be added as a plan B just to make sure there's a contingency power bat?

Also, on the radio I kept hearing the Dodgers could only add two - I'm assuming they're referring to the active roster, not the 40-man. Will Smith is one, if they decide to keep three catchers, but if they let one of Ben or Hunter go, they still have two spots. Then there's talk about keeping a spot available for Rushing as a bat-off-the-bench only - he won't be catching this year. I honestly don't know what that leaves as far as availability.

But I doubt starting the clock on Tibbs is a concern. Something tells me he won't be with the organization long enough to worry about that.

Wildhorse 2.0? That's always a possibility. I just think/hope there are other prospects with more complete games that would take precedence over the next couple of years, but you never know.

Hopefully he rakes at the big league level AND the other prospects force the Dodgers hand to trade him. That'd be a good thing.
