I'd probably have to go back to Kershaw.

Yeah, I can't see even Davey being stupid enough to put Josue in Ohtani's leadoff spot. Edman is filling that role nicely - low strikeout rate and his highest OBP since his rookie year of 2019.

I could see Roberts doing one of two things - either failing to recognize momentum and bumping down a hot bat like Mookie's or Teo's to force JDP in, or putting the rookie at the bottom of the order.

Where would you bat him? Here's my lineup, assuming FF is still out:

    1. Edman CF
    2. Betts
    3. Teo
    4. Muncy 1B
    5. Smith
    6. JDP DH
    7. Rojas 3B
    8. Tucker
    9. Freeland

I'm not buying after one game that Tucker has fixed his issues, so batting him 8th and behind the rookie continues to remind him that he's not untouchable.

    Zoo for the win!

After all, according to my favorite German rockers:

    Enjoy the zoo
    And walk down 42nd Street
    You wanna be excited too
And you will feel the heat

I'm with diablo on this one. Attractive girl next door types will trump sultry bombshells 9 times out of 10 for me.

Three rehab appearances so far for OKC:

    2.2 IP
    1 hit
    4 walks
    3 K's
    3.38 ERA
    1.88 WHIP

Small sample size, fortunately, but still, I'm concerned.

Excerpt from a Houston Mitchell column in today's LAT...

The intriguing thing is — and I know I’m putting the cart about a mile ahead of the horse — that if De Paula plays well, he could be added to the postseason roster. Unlike the old days, you don’t have to be on the 40-man roster by Sept. 1 to be considered for the postseason, you just have to be with the organization by that date. The Dodgers would need to petition MLB to allow De Paula to be on the postseason roster, but that type of petition generally is approved.

The Dodgers will have to make room on the 40-man roster for De Paula, either by removing a player or putting someone, such as Dalton Rushing, on the 60-day IL.

The Dodgers 40-man move for JDP will be interesting.

Ronan Kopp potentially, but he’s probably a guy who would get claimed.

Hyeseong Kim makes some sense. No team would claim him given his contract, and if they did, the Dodgers probably would be happy to free up that money.

Sad that it's come to that even being within the realm of possibility.
