We agree that Kim Jong Un is wholly irrational and unpredictable and therefore 'perhaps' it doesn't matter. OTOH raining down massive hurt from an offshore Navy position still means something. If only it gained Trump a chance to scold China's Xi Jinping to do somethine before we do.

It reminds me of the Iran hostage situation going 400+ days under Carter until cowboy wildcard Ronnie got in office. Trump is exactly scary enough to get peoples attention in much the same way.

i really don't think trump is nearly as stupid as people like think he is and anyone who ever played knows there are short and long games

a small thing that heartened me last weekend occurred on the venice beach boardwalk
i stopped to have a bite on the boardwalk w a girl and we found ourselves sitting across from an old hippy w all the anti trump stickers and prop
the strip was packed and yet no one was stopping to look at the "RESIST" stickers
a guy grabs a big boom box and starts playing some "funk trump" song at top volume just great
after the song ends i'm thinking all the liberal crazies will burst out in applause and yet NOT ONE set of hands comes together
interesting. and as i watch the people walk by and finish my meal amongst all the tits and ass i realize something
i have been sitting there for almost an hour and NO ONE ever even so much as stopped to look at his stuff
i think people have grown tired of all the constantly negative hysterical snowflakes screaming into the cameras and shouting down opinions different than theirs
that day on the beach was a small measure to be sure but seems a better one than any polls out there
even yahoo news has backed up and only runs two or three negative trump stories instead of 20
let the man do his job
he is clearly far more qualified to lead than BO or any of those politicians he thumped into the dirt
we should all hope for our children and this great country that this man and his administration can get us back on track
imo he is growing into a very difficult job and his ego will not allow him to fail in navigating a successful path forward
lets face it we aren't talking about tiddlywinks here
have to say i am far more confident seeing guys like tillerson our there doing business as opposed to fucking LURCH
no hundred billion dollar payoffs for iran and their ilk or dragging james taylor out to sing as policy
it might not be perfect but i think the general sentiment is that at least adults are back behind the controls as they were

The issue is that for the last 8 years every major fuck up has been covered up by the media and a party that only sees party first. It has come to a point that blatantly telling a lie is dismissed as long as it is only one party. People are sick of it. People are sick of common sense not prevailing in place of bowing to whatever ic or ism is currently being cowtowed to.

Now you have a guy who doesn't really care for placating and does not get bureaucratic bullshit that holds up progress. So they attack and attack. He could kill the gravy train and all the secrets may start spilling out. Can't have that.

I will give you that Trump has swagger and knows how to use it effectively. This is very good for us.
He's also highly conversent in getting what he wants and will now do that for 'us'.. in theory
Foreign countries will listen far differently than with low bowing BO, this is also good for us.
Trump is smarter than average but aren't most leaders? Just to accumulate power requires acumen.
His gross vanity and egotistical tendencies will make him easily led

I'm willing to give him time to shake it out
but you have to admit that many of his first moves
were directly opposite of what he promised
