exactly. i don't think any less of you because you don't share my political opinion.
i just think there is room for the conversation to take place without the vitriol and veins popping out of necks
like BZ i listen to Maher and even donate to NPR
i am for open dialogue because i see a lot of madness around me
starting w our institutes of higher learning we need to promote that conversation and look for ways to get things going in a positive direction
you can't pretend the other pov doesn't matter or exist and we owe it to each other to try and understand each other
still i think it comes down to we need to work and we aren't
the policies of the inner cities have failed and we need jobs for all people
the fact that we are losing manufacturing business left and right should scare everyone
not everyone is going to go to college and become a doctor or an attorney or whatever
the deals our current political group have enacted guarantees we will be nothing but a consumer in the new world order (i think the idea started w nixon)

Unless you think the Bureau of Labor statistics is corrupt the numbers are there. Perception isn't always reality but I do agree there seem to be more homeless. Can't tell who the scammers anymore as well.

 

I think 538 analyzed the unemployment numbers fairly well (and concisely) during the last Democratic debate:

But it’s a legitimate — and perhaps even better — measure of the pain many workers are still feeling in this economy.​

 

No...way more slanted than FOX is...the whole media, save for FOX, is liberal and shills for the left...that's the main reason they ( FOX) stand out so much...every other outlet is liberal. Every one...that's why libs hate it. They are as lefty as our pitching staff...

Isn't that report sort of like Saber like? "Relatively" hmm. So using that reports premiss and those rates are skewed then you can add 5% to every reported rate throughout recent history?

 

hadn't heard Trump claim that but he does say outrageous things for attention so without looking it up ill take your word here
i would say 10-15% is pretty realistic especially when you consider how many businesses large and small have been lost in recent times
not all are lost because of internet competition although that certainly plays a big part as well as plain over regulation and strangulation of business
still no matter how you see the cause a lot of people have fallen off the radar completely
i actually like Sanders btw and listen to what he is saying no matter how impossible it may be
reminds me of that uncle that makes everyone laugh while he's making shit up straight faced

Not quite - you'd have to look at the historical rate of (A) individuals who have given up looking for jobs and (B) those stuck in part-time jobs who can't find full-time work. It's not given that this number has been 5%. I could look into it more if you'd like, but I honestly don't know off the top of my head how the current real employment rate, if you will, compares to times in the past.
