A wall is made with bricks of stone. Or hay with mud or dung soaked in the sun.
The wall is the space between us and them or us and the rest of us.
The bricks are people. The people in the way.
The people are the gate keepers. For instance teachers in this example.
Who act like prison guards of people and hold back the knowledge.
Do it long enough and you become a stone. You forgot you are a living being and your heart is dead.
    Like a stone.
And teachers dont exist just in the classroom of course. There are 'teachers' everywhere.
A teacher is not a brick. A teacher who has a hardened heart is a brick.
A hardened heart being the true brick metaphor.
As in i will build my altar using roughly hewn stones.
These are people in the bible with not a lot of polish to them, people who are hard of heart but can be worked.
But not by cold hard steel. Do you think you can tell?
Like you can draw water out of a stone but not all stones have water.
Some stones you can tap and the water comes out. Other stones you cant tap and will shatter into dust if you try.
These are the hearts of men.
The right stones will draw out their water by merely talking to them.
But you need to know the right words to say.
    Abran Cadavera!
You must open the dead hearts of men with the right words at the right time aka truth and kindness.
Not just truth but truth at the right time, present truth.
Because there are many truths and the truth is out there, but so what?
You need the present truth. Perfected in loving kindness just for each specific person.
Like a slap of cool water in the face in the middle of a parched Arabian desert.
If you can tap that stone then you can remove a brick from the wall.
And hey all you need is a crack of daylight when you are bricked by walls all around.
Now you can start to get the message. Because there is another person on the other side of the wall.
    Sending you a message.
    Are you getting it?

Not from LA like NZ said below, but nope staying in NY! I'll be doing some sort of corporate work (mutual funds/hedge funds/private equity funds/mergers & acquisitions/etc). I'll have to wait until later in the summer to find out where the firm places me.

The bar is late July, and the review course starts in a few weeks. I'm dreading it haha. I actually spent my 2nd summer at a law firm, and was offered a permanent position there at the end of the internship. So I'll be heading back to the same firm sometime in September/October.

That's awesome about your son! Congrats to him!

Thanks man. Hahaha, we'll see where my career takes me. There are a handful of standard options, but no sense in predicting them now.

ESPN's new baseball page is totally fucked. The old one was so more simplistic and easier to follow. Just a whole bunch of shit going on there now.

I don't expect this to work for most people, but sometimes I use the Madden '03 soundtrack. It reminds me of wasting hours playing the game on franchise mode, and my brain kicks into gear.

I've been looking for something more soothing, but so far haven't found anything that clicks.
