Actually this is for real. My son (9) said this commercial is weird. Haha... He then would get uncomfortable each time they were on. I didn't change the channel or anything tho. Seems the world is becoming so fast these days I'll have to have " the talk" sooner than later...

    I applaud this

Go South on Pious, make a left on risqué, keep going until you hit very-un-PC, go south on that until you hit sarcasm, and you're there DSP.....otherwise known as the gates of purgatory.

DSP is the rare site that not only tolerates inane half wit rants and offensive slurs but awards points for them

Some one told me (don't know how much is true) that some employees had access to the 'betting lines' on the sites. For instance, they would know how many people were betting on certain quarterbacks and could then select "undervalued" quarterbacks for a larger return on investment. With 90% of the players picking 'sure things' the payout would go down considerably while the less popular picks would payout a larger percentage. IDFK.

    and yet also..

DSP actually does a better than average job of self policing

(not that certain Mods aren't annoying enough but no one is getting banned nor needing to be. Mostly.)

Wow...at nine. The world sure is "fast" these days.
Can't remember when I had mine with my kid, but it wasn't neccessary at nine. Takes a different skill set these days to be a parent than it used to.
    Good luck man.

The employee worked for DraftKings. He was not allowed to play at DraftKings, but frequently played at FanDuel. The information he had access to was ownership percentages for players in DraftKing tournaments before games started. Often times the numbers are similar between the two sites, although never exactly the same because lineups and scoring are slightly different plus the numbers are specific to each contest not the sites as a whole. Players don't see these ownership percentages until games start and their lineups are locked, so the thinking is he gained an advantage by knowing the percentages before lineups locked.

In large tournaments where the payouts are very top heavy (like the one the DK employee won $350k in for finishing 2nd) it's considered strategic to play players with low ownership percentages. If a guy who is 1% owned has a great game it will help you more compared to the field than owning a guy who is 40% owned. IMO this strategy is grossly exaggerated, and as a player I feel the DK employee's "advantage" was minimal if he even had an advantage. There are ways for any player to estimate ownership percentages on FanDuel that can give you a ballpark range (which is all you really need) - any player can do this, and it is probably more accurate than looking at numbers from a rival site like DraftKings. I suppose it's like insider trading if using non-public information from BP to buy/sell Chevron stock is insider trading (I actually don't know if it is, but that would be the parallel). In the end picking high-scoring players is 1000x more important than picking players with high/low ownership percentages.

The elevator scene w the cop was some sexy horror
And there are such amazingly treacherous, murderous and vile residents in that hotel!
In the true sense of Clive its the kind of madness that makes my skin crawl
Because its not a stretch to think people like this could actually exist
I think there might be something wrong w me...

    Yep.

I know it's going to probably get shut down, but I love FanDuel. It's made the NFL much more exciting this year.

Everyone do yourselves a favor, cancel all subscriptions to everything TV related, buy yourself an amazon Fire TV or Stick and put Kodi software on it.

Just discovered this a few days ago, now I have a fire stick with Kodi software and I can watch anything I have been able to think of so far in good quality.

    Good summary, I agree.

I thought I read somewhere that the Draft King winner also had 'other' classified Draft King management evaluation software which gave him the 'house edge' as he then gambled on the FanDuel site. I don't know specifically which other portions of the DK data set he might have had access to but the point was the same.

And re the BP/Chevron analogy, good analogy but I think Shaw will tell us its false and not considered insider trading. Not sure but still a good analogy.
