Everything i say or do has an ulterior motive.
    Specially if it seems altruistic.

I know you guys talked about it sometime ago but any advice/tips/places to go/things to do?

I'll only be there a couple days and somewhat on a budget. Also looking mostly to drink/go to bars but am open to any suggestions since y'all know more than me

As of rn only know of papas and beer

i was there maybe 2 years ago i think
it was an absolute ghost town so you will have no problem on budget and iirc the rosarito beach hotel was $50 a night online
if you are going to be w a girl its still ok just weird like a zombie apocalypse took place
if you are going w the boys i recommend TJ and the options are endless lol
you will need your brass balls though

i haven't been there in a while so diablo is the better resource
but be wary of your surroundings
its a but third world down there and shit can get out of hand quickly
you have zero rights down there
don't have any weed on you and don't draw attention to yourself

don't draw any attention to yourself is the absolute best advice
walking around anywhere in MX especially after dark is not advisable but acting like you own the place will get you taken off at the knees
everyone is on the take but hey you only live once

    The women are much nicer.
    The beer is much cheaper
    The lobster is much better.

TJ, where a little man can go a long way.

So, is it correct to assume, based on the preceding posts, that all the womanzing, beer drinking, and lobster eating must be done before the sun sets?

all is done throughout the night except the lobster eating
at night u eat few of the best tacos in the world.... tj street tacos.
then a few hours before sunup you start driving south.
you find a nice suburb or a hospital or a baseball field and you park your truck or van and you take a little siesta.
once the sun wakes u up you drive a little more south till you get to the little seaside village if Puerto Nuevo.
there you eat like a sea king.
then you drive a bit to the tecate museum for some culture.
and drive to the Otay border So as not to spend hours crossing.

but that's in old TJ. Most tourist dont know how to get down there anymore.
newer TJ looks like Disneyland in comparison

last time in puerto nuevo it was just ok and there were like 50 lobster places and no one in them
can't agree more on the street tacos, just look for one w a crowd of mexicans around it
my comment on the walking around at night was more aimed at a novice traveller hanging in the seedy parts that i tend to end up in
there has actually been quite a bit of investment in the TJ area and the main drag is every bit as safe as LA at night

Oh, I think I get it...It's just like 42nd St. ( Times Square., basically)...When I was a kid, a young man, and further along than that, it was a den of iniquity...Think Midnight Cowboy. Now it's like Disneyland, too. Family oriented. No sex shows, no dirty movies, no sleazy arcades, etc.
We talked about the donkey shows, but none of us ever saw it.

puerto nuevo was great in the 80's and 90's
but once they realized they had something prices went up and quality went down
the street tacos have always been a godsend
diablo's right, look for the most crowded one

Yeah but go back back to the one in the farthest southern corner.
That one is the best, even if they charge a little more.
