    I hope that's all it is too, but something tells me the offer is more than that. I can't imagine outspending the Yankees or Mets, both who really, really want him, and frankly NEED him more than the Dodgers do. But I could see it being high enough to give Soto pause -- to at least wonder if the difference is negligible enough (if we can call millions of dollars "negligible") to give him the best shot at a ring (or better yet, rings). Otherwise, to just drive up the price, the Dodgers are making Boras' wallet thicker and also increasing the going rate for Teoscar and other signings. Just doesn't seem worth the trouble if that was the only objective. And anyhow, I think the two NY teams will drive the price up enough trying to outbid each other.

    so $477k is a full playoff share w 79 getting the full share and 17.49? getting a partial share
    what is .49 of a human being?
    anyway if anyone has how that broke down by players, coaches etc please post it cause I couldn't find that info
    another $405k in cash awards was also voted by a very generous team apparently

    Left-hander Blake Snell and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a five-year, $182 million contract, pending physical, sources tell me and @jorgecastillo. The World Series champions get the two-time Cy Young winner in the first nine-figure deal of the winter.

    Boom! Snell is a dominant ace....just look at his starts to close last season.

    0.75 ERA in July with 30 Ks in 24 IP
    1.64 ERA in August with 53 K in 38 IP
    1.00 ERA in September with 31 Ks in 18 IP
