    Did they end up mentioning if he is using the slider? He kept saying that he didn't like the feel of it all spring and didn't think he was going to use it. With the volume off, I have seen a couple of pitches that had me thinking he was trying it.

    I honestly think they could surprise some folks this season and maybe be around the 2nd Wild Card spot. That lineup is gonna be tough and they don't seem to be unwilling to rush their pitchers.

    I haven’t heard them mention anything about it myself. But that strikeout in the 1st inning registered as a cutter but it sure looked like a slider.
