    Keep in mind we have multiple picks so get the consensus 2nd best player available and do the PG thing with 27th pick and maybe the rim protector with the 34th.

    among the things that Towns has working for himself if the fact that Anthony Davis is in place as sort of the next guy to dominate in the west, so getting Towns would either help the Lakers in matching up with Davis in the future or actually help attract Davis when he turns free agent down the line because he and Davis are close.

    Davis will be dominant before then and a new CBA is coming. a lot could change.

    he's a year away from RFA and there is no way the Pelicans won't put the 5 year offer on the table when he is a RFA. Cap will have jumped by then and I doubt he'll say no.

    they can put it on the table..he doesn't have to sign it. the cap is jumping in 2016, but the new CBA won't be in place until 2017-18 season.

    basically, Davis should drag his situation out..but whomever gets Towns might have a good match for Davis.
