He hit on some solid points.
I see a lot of comps to Jason Kidd, but people always underrated Kidd's pure athletic ability..Kidd was fast as fuck w/the ball, especially for a 6'5" PG.
Kidd could get up and down w/anybody and was a pretty special defender as well..hell, old man Jason Kidd helped lock LeBron up defensively in the 2011 Finals.

Oakland Raiders star Khalil Mack, a hybrid outside linebacker-defensive end, captured his first career Defensive Player of the Year award at Saturday's NFL Honors ceremony. Only the 2nd Raider to ever be named NFL DPOY.

There's quick (should have seen Norm Nixon early on) and there's Jason Kidd fast. He could fly.

Texans put 16pts on NE @ Gillette Stadium in mid-January w/Osweiler @ QB and kept it close for much of the time..I'll say ATL adds 14 to that total.
ATL's defense just faced crazy legs Russell Wilson and GOAT Aaron Rodgers, and gave up 20pts and 21pts to both..so I'll say ATL's defense rises up again.
    Pats - 23
    ATL - 30

    Solid chance, I think.
Patriots are overrated in my eyes tho..especially w/o Gronkowski
    Or w/o Pete Carroll. Lol

Carr placing 3rd in the MVP vote was weak.
It's been proven multiple times that the Pats win games without Brady, so he simply cannot be as valuable to them, don't even know the argument for him over Carr for 2nd place.
I'll give the Pats that..they know how to keep right on winning games w/o Brady.
Del Rio placing 4th for Coach of the Year..better competition there, so I kinda get that one.

Saw Stormin Norman, saw Eric " Sleepy " Floyd, all the way up to TJ Ford and the guys today like Thomas in Boston.
Yeah, Kidd - pound for pound - might have been as fast as anybody up and down the floor
And the fact that he grabbed so many rebounds and had to size to just sort of dare smaller PGs to get in his way in transition...

I don't know if I'd agree the Pats are overrated, but the Pete Carroll jab is funny. :giggle:

I think this will be a good game, and the Falcons definitely have a good chance to win. Wilson & Rodgers are very different than Brady and the Pats system - so it's hard to say how the Falcons' defense holds up based on those performances.

Wilson/SEA are very different from Rodgers/PACK as well, and pretty much the same outcome.
ATL's defense has been up against way more top QBs playing at their best this year, so I'm riding w/that trend + Quinn just saw a better version of this Pats' offense a couple years back.
We'll see, but I think Ryan and that ATL offense is the most difficult system to crack this year.

Wouldn't be surprised if this became a low-scoring, time of possession game either..or at least that may NE's best course of action against ATL's undersized/speedy defense.
Would keep Ryan off the field and maybe hurt some of the rhythm there, may be worth a try.
But even in a lower scoring game I think it'd be something like 23-24 , so a good game and entertaining.
Some are predicting a blow out..I have a hard time seeing it

Me too, but Belichick got two weeks to prepare and Ne only loses Super Bowls to the Giants. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2 TD NE win

that wouldn't be a bad strategy
and, as you pointed out, it keeps ryan off the field
ne's biggest advantage might be their experience
if atl scores first/and quickly it'll be interesting to see how ne responds
hard to say what happens if ne scores first, esp if they march down the field on their opening drive

i could see it either way
close or a big ne lead
don't really see atl grabbing/sustaining a big lead

Got two going today.........Pats -3 and the under at 59. Didn't have enough faith to parlay them.

Going with my wallet today, not my heart. My heart would have been with Atlanta.

Pederson, Seager give Super Bowl predictions
by Eric Avakian | Dodger Blue — 7 hours ago

The Major League Baseball offseason continues to dwindle down, as the Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers and catchers are less than two weeks out from reporting to Spring Training. Baseball returning coincides with the NFL season coming to a close.

Along with discussing their offseason, the Logan Forysthe trade and a look to the 2017 season, some Dodgers were posed with Super Bowl LI questions and asked to predict a winner between the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots.

“I would like to see the Falcons, but Tom Brady is special,” Joc Pederson said while speaking at the Dodgers’ recent FanFest event. “He’s a competitor, stays composed, and he’s a winner. So, I think the Patriots are going to win, even though I want the Falcons.”

Although Pederson is a San Francisco 49ers fan, he had a rooting interest in the Green Bay Packers when they squared off against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Championship game. Pederson’s high school teammate Davante Adams is a wide receiver with the Packers.

Dodgers ace and Dallas native Clayton Kershaw, who also attended the game at AT&T Stadium is of course a noted Cowboys fan. That set the stage for a friendly bet between Kershaw and Pederson, with the loser making a donation to charity.

The Cowboys came up short in a thrilling game, and the donation was the extent of the wager. “He would never put [a Packers] jersey on,” Pederson said with a laugh.

Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager also provided a Super Bowl LI prediction, joining Pederson in his selection. “Ah man, I like Tom Brady,” Seager said. “I’m going to go with the Patriots.”

In further discussing the Super Bowl, Seager noted the similarities between this year’s Falcons team and his hometown Carolina Panthers that reached the 2016 Super Bowl, only to fall short against the Denver Broncos and their vaunted defense.

Entering Sunday, the Patriots are a three-point favorite heading into their second Super Bowl game in Houston. Kickoff is set for 3:30 P.M. PST and will be televised on FOX.
