So this is what we get. Lol Adam SchefterVerified account@AdamSchefter 9m9 minutes ago Raiders re-signing LB Brandon Marshall, per source.
Is hell yay an option? Obviously, not that he's what he used to be, but he's better than what we have. Trent Brown is already recruiting him. Think Darren Waller would be a good guy for Gordon to be around, dealt with those demons and is winning that battle. Both about the same age. Tyrell W., Gordon, and Zay Jones sounds like an actual NFL caliber WR group. Although, offensively we're fine, ranked pretty highly. Defense is the problem. Huge problem. And it won't likely be solved until this offseason, so yeah, keep piling on the offensive weapons. No draft comp necessary..just sit back and hope he goes unclaimed on waivers
Scary part is they're unbeaten with average play from their QB (until last night) and without both of their starting OTs. That said, I wholeheartedly agree.........fuck 'em. A lot of 49er gear has come out of mothballs around here.
And Garoppolo has a #1 WR now, thanks to Denver. Emmanuel Sanders last night, 7 catches - 112yds - TD Their offense is pretty much complete, and a gang of talent on defense. I'm saying fuck the Niners all the way up until they potentially face the Pats in the Super Bowl. Then it's " go Niners! " Garoppolo has to have some insight on Belicheat that can help Shanahan NOT choke another SB away to NE
Pats are the only team that can make me root for the Niners, KC, etc. Niners used to have that perch, but they haven't done shit since '94
@jpldodgers Ian RapoportVerified account@RapSheet From @gmfb: Former #Patriots WR Josh Gordon is heathy and on waivers, and we'll find out his new team at 4 pm. today. If it's the #Dolphins, they have plenty of familiar faces. Doesn't look like Gordon will be clearing waivers and choosing his next team. The problem is that whomever claims him on waivers will get a compensatory draft pick when he leaves after the season and heads for free agency, so somebody is more than likely going to claim him. I look for him to be an option for the RAIDERS in free agency depending on what he's willing to play for..has to be a low risk contract..Vegas probably isn't the best place to bring Josh Gordon. It'll probably be Gordon on the cheap, or go bigger for AJ Green and bring that star to Vegas
So Josh Gordon was claimed....by the Seahawks. Lol Uh oh. Russell Wilson has a new toy, just what he needs. Guy made it all the way to the Seahawks on the waiver list. Smh Seahawks had interest in AB after he was released by both the RAIDERS and Pats, so I guess the addition makes sense. Mayock and Gruden must be done with stunts..needed a linebacker and didn't even reach out Zach Brown's weirdo ass. No deadline trades either obviously, although, they had been active in trading beforehand - Davis/GB, Jones/BUF and of course trading Gareon Conley's bum ass to HOU for another pick
In pass coverage, mainly. He's been a tackle missing machine to the point where he's only played in 75% of their snaps on defense. The last time Alexander was really good was 2016. Signed a big contract with the Niners last offseason, but the Niners wrote his contract in a way that they can get out of it after this season and there's a chance that they will
He's helped us all feel better about the awful Ferrell pick who has been one of the worst players in the NFL this season.
And Crosby.... Brian BaldingerVerified account@BaldyNFL @Raiders @CrosbyMaxx up to 74 snaps last Sunday and the development is rapid. Every week his production goes up. He has become the #Raiders best defensive lineman and it won’t be long before the comparisons begin. Love watching development. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...n=tw-nf-sf222591565-sf222591565&sf222591565=1 The No. 4 overall pick Ferrell has been outplayed by fourth-rounder Maxx Crosby, a defensive end ticketed for multiple Pro Bowls in the future, according to CBS analyst Tony Romo.
Perhaps Ferrell will find his footing next season? Another year of strength and development, as with Kolton Miller and the big jump that Miller made this year. Won't call him a bust just yet, but it does suck that the RAIDERS could've had Nick Bosa if they had just lost games they were supposed to lose late last season. Imagine having Nick Bosa and Maxx Crosby. Crosby is surging. One comparison I see coming from Baldinger in the future is Maxx Crosby/Jared Allen. He definitely looks like a young Jared Allen..Allen also drafted in the 4th round years ago and essentially the same size/motor/all around attack. Early tape is eerily similar. Defense just really needs to be average next season. Not too much to ask, given Jacobs should be moving the chains and keeping them fresh. Our own Zeke Elliott type of effect. Safe to say they need to go defense with both of the 1st round picks. Abram flashed enough in that opener to feel like he'll be a good one if he stays healthy, so maybe add another young DB to help out he and Mullen on the back end. Joseph is probably the next Reggie pick to go. Stanford currently has a corner that's ticketed for the 1st round and he'd fit opposite Mullen
Lol WhenTF did Canelo move to light heavyweight? And he's fighting Kovalev. Time for Andre Ward to come out of retirement and get that Canelo payday Masvidal VS Nate Diaz should be good tonight
