Joe Judge, new Giants HC - who? Matt Rhule, new Carolina HC - ditto - picked Carolina over the Giants - is getting $60M over 7 years Lol Mike McCarthy, new Dallas HC - solid hire, actually Josh McDaniels interviewing for the Cleveland job
Uh oh. Brady on instagram - " I still have more to prove. " How? Unless it's somewhere else and away from Belicheat.... Brady heading west.
Feels like things could be lining up for an AFC west showdown for Brady's services. Peter King says don't count out Gruden, that they could very well find a trade partner to take Carr..maybe even New England given Carr's affordable contract. NE would definitely strike out for a solid vet to replace Brady. And given Carr's history, he'd offer Belicheat the opportunity to, once again, look like a genius. But I'm still of the mind that Brady is going to lead the Chargers into Inglewood and take LA by storm next season. The Vegas odds are out, however, and the RAIDERS and Chargers are basically deadlocked @ the 2nd best odds to land him. But you wanna talk about potentially the most insane turn ever..Brady on the RAIDERS, super polarizing within the fan base. And the RAIDERS actually visit New England next season, so imagine that - Brady returns to New England as the QB of the RAIDERS. Smh
I just don’t see Brady in that Raiders uniform. Brady is as much about brand image as he is about football, and the Raiders have an especially unique and utterly different brand. The Chargers do have the receivers and defense that can make the difference for Brady, but ultimately, he won’t win another SB there. I know it’s impossible, but how much would the Rams want to dump Goff to get a few more years of Brady? Rams would really really need to bulk up its offensive line though.
You're right. It's impossible..there's no dumping Goff. The spike in his contract is set to hit 8 or so weeks from now, so that shitty ride is just beginning and the Rams have to ride it out. If it's LA for Brady, it's Chargers..way too much smoke surrounding that scenario, so there's a fire somewhere. And the Chargers aren't perfect for him either. They have receivers, a tight end and a RB, but their offensive line is very bad - been bad for a few seasons now. If we're just talking offenses, Brady would probably be better off in Vegas. RAIDERS actually have an O-line that can protect him, a 21 yr old stud RB that he can hand it to 25 times a game, a younger version of Gronkowski in Darren Waller, and a younger version of Julian Edelman in Hunter Renfrow. RAIDERS are pretty much one WR short of being a complete offense and have the draft ammo to get that guy in a few months. Defense..that's another story. That would be the challenge, if Brady's looking for a real challenge. Chargers obviously have the advantage defensively, but the RAIDERS did go 2-0 VS the Chargers this season. But you mentioned Brady's brand - you know, Brady actually has a multi-dimensional brand because most fans outside of Boston can't stand that MF. And his brand is definitely attached to Belicheat's..make no mistake, they're going down in that cheater boat together. Patriots are hated..about as much as the RAIDERS used to be hated when they were dominating the league in the 70's and 80's. It never really gets mentioned, but the Patriot brand is really not far off from the RAIDER brand, especially when you consider Spygate, Deflategate, etc. and all the hate opposing fans have for the Pats. And Belicheat may as well be Al Davis, given how he just does what he wants and is a win at all costs guy. Al was all about cheating. " Cheating is encouraged " was actually one of Al's main slogans. Belicheat has just taken it to another level with technology and what not. But the initial thought of Brady in a RAIDER jersey - I don't like it. Do I like it better than Carr in a RAIDER jersey? That's the real question.
https://heavy.com/sports/2020/01/raiders-nfl-officiating-bias/ Ya think? Certainly screwed out of a playoff berth this season, but we needed better draft position more than a Wild Card weekend asswhoopin, anyway so it's fine for now. Question is - what the fuck can done about these refs? The bias against the RAIDERS should be left in Oakland. Don't wanna see this shit happening in Vegas. Old Vegas would know how to deal with refs, for sure. New Vegas..we'll see.
Funny thing about the Brady/Vegas stuff going around is that Gruden may actually be the one that passes on the opportunity. Gruden has always preferred a QB that has at least some mobility, a QB that can extend plays. One that's not a statue. Would Gruden actually root for Brady to land with the Chargers? The opportunity to kick Brady's ass twice a year for the next 2 or 3 years. Guess you could call it tuck rule beef. Colts are now getting some action as a potential landing spot for Brady, and they're pretty much a perfect fit on the field. Think they'd need another receiver, but again, it's a receiver heavy draft and the Colts also have plenty of cap space to grab one. Only thing I could see holding up a Brady/Colts union would be the fact that the Colts play in Indy. Really can't see Brady playing anywhere other than on the west coast - if he leaves the Pats
Scott GulbransenVerified account@LVGully Well...they’re not “officially” the #LasVegasRaiders yet but today - On Twitter - they’re no longer the Oakland Raiders.... The Raiders @Raiders
Colts now getting some hype as a landing spot for Brady, as well. And they are pretty much an all-around fit - except for one thing - they play in Indy.
True. Old Al might have docked Brady some points for getting caught, but big picture, he would've been proud of Brady's commitment
