You definitely could be right about Urias, I'm just not as enamored with what I am seeing thus far. He is throwing strikes 60% of the time, but for me it looks like he is really not hitting the glove the way you'd like as the catcher seems to have to move around a lot to receive the ball. The K's are a big deal for me. In this state of the game, you do not want to give up a ton of contact and right now he is doing a lot of that with most of his outs coming in the air. That worries me a bit going forward. He averaged 11 K's per 9 last year when he was starting and right now he is down in the 5's through 4 starts with the k totals not eclipsing 3 in 4 of those starts. He get's the K's back up to 9+ and looks more like the guy he's been after the 1st inning and I would say that he is definitely back to being at least a mid-rotation starter. He seems to miss up in the zone a lot with the FB, so I am wondering if he is overthrowing a bit or if it has more to do with his mechanics being kind of all over the map in the early going. Seems that his stuff on paper hasn't changed, so it may just need to be a mental fix of believing in his stuff and attacking the hitters instead of nibbling.

Have to remember the organization has barely taken the training wheels off Urias. He's still developing.
