Laugh all you wish.. it's a free country. Sort of.

One does not need to be a geophysicist nor an immigration expert to share learned opinions. If 'you' had data points then we'd listen closer to you as well. Share that data since I have. Ignore my data and wildly speculate again about hypothetical earthquake damage to non existing structures. Sigh.

    Claiming
shows you do not have facts. No one stated that smuggling does NOT occur at ports of entry, merely that it is NOT "one of the most common ways" Far from it. Do some research, become better informed. Maybe then someone will slam 'you' as being an "immigration expert" LMAO indeed.

And YES, traveling to 30+ countries DOES provide first hand immigration data that many are missing. Yourself included it appears.

Claiming that I favor a "21st century Trail of Tears" again reveals your inability to grasp the point. No one, especially me, has suggested removing people from their native lands. Repeatedly. Find where I said anything close to that. You won't. What does removing natives from their historical grounds have to do with securing our border? Nothing. Aaahh LMAO again.

I can provide several reputable articles/studies on geotech analysis and immigration once I have computer access. Even though it seems you are already discounting the importance of geotech analysis before construction.

Second your analogy about open borders and removing ones own doors is a lazy one. Plus isn’t it convenient you’re only mentioning securing the southern border? I guess it’s okay to have no fence (open borders) in a wealthy white neighborhood but not if you live in a predominantly Mexican neighborhood.

Dude untwist your panties already... #racist much?

OK I'll be patient.. have you EVER crossed the Canadian/American border? Try it. Try it somewhere away from major tourist areas. Been there done that. Many times. No one worries about the northern border because the frosty Canucks patrol TF out of it. Seriously "IF" we paid 50% of the attention to the southern border as Canada does to the northern border then nobody would be having this conversation in the first place. I've crossed the Mexican border and the Canadian border each dozens of times. In many places each. The difference is stark. Way stark.

Data buddy. Data. PC or no PC matters little when presenting flawed opinions. Shooting from the hip with your phone is on you.

Arguing about open borders NOT being the same as open doors WITHOUT providing data is what's mentally lazy. I'll give you props for enthusiasm and energy in your replies but hype and opinion don't cover much ground. As you see.

    Kettle meet Pot.

Careful with that particular angle because the lions share of divisive statements comes from our Twit-in-Chief and his GOP cronies

I don't like to name call. You implied I hate Jews or some shit. I called you weasely. I don't really think that I used too offensive of a term. You can take it. Or else I wouldn't have said it. Don't be getting all sensitive over weasely.

I take your claim of me spinning shit to be very funny in light that you and I agree on most things that come up here in the politics thread.
Spinning is what you have been doing when you take a tidbit from someone's post and charge that person with a litany of offenses that only exist in your mind. I am not any of those things you implied that I am.

I know what I said and what the context is. It's spelled out right after the last words you bolded.
This PC thought police bullshit your are trying to pull right now is exactly the kind of thing i meant by that bolded part.
You would know that if you go back to read the paragraphs bracketing what you bolded.

This ultra PC snowflake victim entitlement white knight hipster douche woke mentality does not come from the Jewish people or the people of Israel. They are not to blame and I did not blame them for this nor for anything else. I never brought them up.
I brought up Israel, the government.

Just like when Muslims say Death to America.
They are not saying that about me or you or the American people or the white race that populates this land.
It is about Muslims hating the actions of the US regime. The government, the dynasty in power since the death of Kennedy.

And the #1 complaint is US support for the wall in Israel and for the government-sanctioned settlements in areas not legally recognized by the UN or the USA or anyone as part of the state of israel.
This is the opinion of most of the world's Arabs, Muslims, and US/ European/white Liberals. It is not my opinion.

It is in violation of international law. It has been ruled in the UN in a bunch of resolutions and Israel is continually held in violation as an occupying power herding people into ghettos conditions.

And the point I made is not a newsflash. If you wanted it from the news you could open Haaretz any day of the week.
    Just look at today's headline.
Blah, I don't know why you being so weasely man, its not the DSP diablo I've known.
I'd like to tell you to go fuck yourself but it doesn't feel right.
Fuck you for that one too.

Not to incite ... any more than normal that is

But is there someone here, @rube , @LAdiablo , who DOES NOT think that the Israel / Palestine problem requires a two state solution??

How the exact boundaries get drawn can be another chapter but in MY opinion both sides deserve a homeland.

Now of course we must note that neither side appears to want to permit the other side to exist at all.

But at least we're not on DSP smearing Jew's... or Arab's...
    or each other

CNN's Brian Stelter wants to delay Trump's speeches by 10 mins to edit the footage to remove the "lies" then show it.

And they wonder why everybody considers them the leaders of the fake news

i have an issue calling a place a state when its basic function is to bring violence to its neighbors
i suppose being that "someone" is based on having high level conversations w terrorists like arafat
hamas runs that country and iran funds it
that violence destroyed one of the most beautiful countries in the world when lebanon was shredded
find a leader that actually wants peace and maybe we can start talking about legitimacy

Yeah I'm in loose agreement with everything you said.
"IF" Palestine wants autonomy then it needs to behave as a responsible entity and espouse live and let live. IMO they will never do so since they openly swear to kill all Jews until none exist anymore. Clearly that Arab prattle is not going to gain them ANY ground.. except with other despots such as the idiot mullahs in Iran.. and ssshhh Saudi Arabia. Which only emboldens the Israeli's.. who are smarter, better trained, richer and better organized and just as ruthless if need be. And they have a Big Brotha that dwarfs Iran.

A moderate, secular, merchant oriented Lebanon stood no chance against fanatical curse mumbling extremists. Neither does the USA it seems, if the age of openly proclaimed jihad continues to be endorsed by other world powers.

OK so claiming "everybody" is taking huge liberties with the dictionary definition. That said this is hilarious.. what are they going to do? Mute his lies? For 75% of his time on air? Show his mouth moving and no words/lies coming out? Too funny.

Of course how is it so different to normal media habits of tightly clipping sound bites to adjust/retell the story? This is not just CNN either since Faux News and most every other MSM 'news' source has been doing this for years.

The better question might be "should we permit our readers/listeners/viewers to be openly lied to?" I cannot imagine that happening.. however if one reads what goes on in Australian media all commercials are vetted for truth BEFORE they are permitted to air. Country of former prisoners has less tolerance for being lied to it seems.

Not sure how this applies to a Twit-in-Chief who has been proven to lie 69% of the time (Politifact) and another 15% of the time tells half truths. If a reasonable man cannot believe him for over 75% of the time then SOMETHING needs to change.

But watching his lips move in silence hardly seems productive.
    Fun yes, productive no.

Imagine if lying to the public while in office was illegal? Oh never mind he's done enough other illegal things that no one, at DSP, even cares.

There is an argument that people that are part of empires rarely understand. Even well meaning people.

Old West/California Coast pre Gold Rush is similar to the Levant pre WW1 in this way.
There lived a people in these lands.
These people were semi nomadic husbandmen and gatherers.
This lifestyle does not create large populations or city like settlements. Only a few centers for trade and organization while most people move around with the changing weather patterns following their main source of food and trade.

So when you look back at when conquerors with a new material culture that is all about building large farms or cities to maximize production and population.
Fast forward a few generations and try looking back?
There is going to be some myopia.
You will see all the modern improvements of the conquering culture and see no comparison.
If you tried to compare it would seem like the previous inhabitants had done nothing or had essentially deserted the land or let it go to waste by not laying down tonnes of concrete and tar.

But those people did have a culture and a society and I guess some rights.
Unfortunately this has happened in a lot of places all over the world but the palestinians seem to be the most stubborn about their little piece of land.
My point of view is that they kind of already lost. And to keep fighting only creates more problems. If the UN wanted to fix this problem they should have made this a refugee priority before all the other stuff they have been doing.
Every UN country creates spaces to take in X amount of palestinian families per year as resident aliens whose following generations born in the US can gain citizenship. With the goal to remove all palestinians from the land of Israel except those willing to stay in Israel as resident aliens/secondary class in fully integrated Israel where you can get jailed easily if you are suspected of being pro hamas or something like that.
Then you can go zero tolerance and root out all rebels and rocketeers.

So true.. alas history is told by the victors.. largely because they were the only ones left to write it down/ pass it along.
Again we agree.. to an extent, they totally lost. and the longer they claim "death to Israel" the longer they lose... however your next sentence is where you have it wrong
I don't mind the refugee support angle but... they have zero inclination to leave Palestine
Thus you try to fix the situation where they have their precious toehold... thus the two state solution

Otherwise you get exactly the 'ethnic cleansing' that we're seeing today with the Myanmar and the Rohingya's
which ain't 'exactly' as bad as Hitler and the Jews; Palestinians and the Jews.. step and repeat and the Jews

Ethnic cleansing happens for a reason.
There is no such thing as a 2 state solution.
Why even entertain such a myth?
If Israel is destined to exist then the Palestinians have to be removed elsewhere because they cannot be trusted to live peacefully in the land of Israel due to their hate.
Israel can give collaborating Palestinians resident alien papers so they can continue to live and work in Israel.
Gaza and the West Bank should be taken over by the government and settled.
One side has to win and the other side has to disperse. That is how its always been in that land. Then the dispersed get to come back generations later and take control.
The alternative is endless war until it finally ends by bringing all the nations of the world into a massive world crusader war.

The UN countries did not want to take in Jews so they gifted them the land of the nomadic Palestinians.
The Jews pacified that land and made it more productive with large scale agriculture and industry. But they also destroyed the ancient feeding ecosystem of the plants and animals that supported the nomadic way of life.
Those native people will never forget that their land was taken and in their eyes destroyed. They will hate the Jews and America for enabling them until the end of time.
Maybe its because they didn't get casinos as recompense.
Or monthly oil dividends like in Arabia.
