so McD's is getting sued for a cool billion by black owned franchises claiming...you guessed it "systemic" racism claiming they were steered to open in black areas etc.
back when i used to hire and fire i remember bringing on several black employee's because it was the right thing to do
none of them worked out and one sued me for discrimination and one a sum of money
didn't matter they had no case i was advised that insurance would settle

I think I’ve been painted as a lefty in here. I’m more in the middle bro. While I don’t support Trump, if the Republicans had a candidate I could get behind I’d vote that way. I don’t like Biden at all so I feel like there really isn’t a candidate for me. But hey, I grew up in the hood as a skinny white kid who spoke Spanish. Product of my environment until I climbed out of that shit Hole from hard work and a clear idea of who I wanted to become... NOT because I had anything close to white privilege.

there really should be a common sense party
when i was tearing apart shelving in the old Sears building i became good friends w the person in charge of the dismantling
who happened to be very good at her job and we had a ton of laughing conversations about anything
i even said i could work for her since tearing down malls should be a semi lucrative business to be in and she was in the middle of it
she was about the same age as me and so we had a lot of things in common and if i noticed in the beginning i certainly wasn't thinking about her skin color which was black
i was basically working w her even though i was technically paying for what i was taking apart to use in my school and strange art projects
then in the end the subject of privilege, specifically white, came up
i didn't think she would be down w it but it turned out she was and it was an interesting conversation i have to say
when i asked her how many people of any skin color she knew that would show up before she opened the doors and stay until she locked them working she said not many
there was actually a Vietnamese guy that would show up and work his ass off too
my point was i worked for everything i have and still will
painting my house the last two weeks and i fucking hate that work but i'm never going to pay "professionals"to do it
i was raised to enjoy hard work and take pride in the fact i can still do a lot of the stuff i learned in my lifetime
my kids friends always joke that when they need to get something done they look to an old white guy
no one gave me anything either
i learned how to work on machines and saved money while denying myself and investing
the only people i hear talking about white privilege are the white kids that had it pounded into them in school and blacks
the rest of the world and its races seem to see a different story and just have to be laughing at what our society will think of next

bottom line is anyone making excuses for their plight being based on skin color in this country is full of shit
when i married my wife we had a lot of couples around the same age from Sri lanka we counted as friends
want to take a guess at how many of them made it?
how about like every fucking one of them because they went to school and worked jobs and chased the dream
i've seen it over and over again people come from every area of the world and grab this life by the throat
its here if you work for it and the notion that white people have held back a race of people is a fraud
if this country was as racist as libs want you to believe wouldn't we have shut down every race?
why is only one perpetually bitching about their plight?
if you don't put in the work you reap the results and the truth is everyone knows it
you don't think a lot of Asian cultures feel they aren't liked in the US?
