If the voting booth is your mailbox, yes.
The plebs go out and vote if they are able to. They effectively go to church and pray for their desires like regular human people when they vote for their candidates and propositions. Regardless of party or inclination. In general.
The mob stays home and has their essential workers take their votes to the urns to satisfy the hunger of the mob gods who believe nothing is sacred when it comes to the triumph of the will.
Two types of voter. The new voting scheme by the mob is for mass (mothers) hysteria (womb sickness).
If a new child in time is going to be born in the usa they are trying to induce a miscarriage of justice.

Democracy and Mob Rule are two different things. This issue goes back to Athens and really is at the crux of socialism vs capitalism.

The people who seek, can afford, have the time, or for whatever reason prefer the convenience of having someone else essentially carry water for them and deliver their vote are one block.
The people who physically carry their own vote and wait in line and perform the civic ritual duty properly form another block.

Im probably on the first block.
Most people on the first block that live anywhere near LA or another big city or coastal region will vote for for the blue blooded european demonstrative model of governance.
Most people on the second block that live in Texas or any other sprawling middle american region will probably vote for the red blooded american representative model of governance.

When the votes are not settled on election night we will risk having a period without a president.
If that happens the senate majority leader Nancy Pelosi takes power while the election is being figured out.
And then the civil war is natural because Trump will be asked to step down for 'the good of the country'.
If anyone can see it coming then its a plan.
And if its a plan then it's treason.

Yes, but the longer it drags on (see Orange county, CA - 2018) the more shenanigans there'll be with ballots showing up from all over. If you can stand in line for lotto tickets, go shopping at a crowded Wal-Mart, protest and /or riot, you can vote in person. If not, file for an absentee ballot... For Christs sake, make a fucking effort...

You know what I mean though.
You also know what a lame duck coach is.
Trump won't be a lame duck.
If the votes come out on election night and the press reports 99% of the votes are in and Biden wins by a considerable margin they will call the race.
The celebrations will start like in Houston.
Even if they cheated its not like Manfredd is gonna man up and do the right thing.
Dodgers and the Yankees and everyone else had to suck it up.
There will be partying in the streets all over the nation over Trump losing.
Beating Trump will be like your favorite college football team winning the super bowl with happy rioting in the streets.
But it will be all over and many folks are not gonna like it.
Specially folks who feel the democrats used a technical loophole that is in gross violation of the honor of the game and a novel way of cheating but cheating nonetheless.
If Nancy Pelosi attempts to become interim president there may be a problem.
They are running the same type of game the US runs against its enemy presidents but in reverse.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I think we should be able to vote on the internet.

The ancient Athenians were particularly aware of the danger of mob rule.
In their "democracy" about 5% of the population actually had the right to vote.

Second unpopular opinion of the day: universal suffrage is probably a bad idea and eventually doomed to failure.

Every popular opinion is a bad idea and eventually doomed to failure.
But its popular for a reason... or more likely a season.
Democracy was a new religion. Religion is always the best way to move the masses.
Voting was done by the religious practitioners that belonged to their cities cult.
Each city was governed as its own state and each had their own culture where dedication and worship was made to a particular cult.
That made you a citizen. Which means someone who takes care of a thing. Public care of a thing is where we get the word Republica.
Private care of a thing is the term Cosa Nostra and that is private enterprise/small business.
The 5% of people that have the right to vote is not as small a number as it looks.
It was the heads of households who provided ritual duties to the state sponsored cult.
The ones who truly cared about Athena paid their dues practiced the rituals of her cult by dropping their white or black stone.
Athens was filled with people but the philosophical ideas of resident citizen and immigrant have always existed.
And before the paper passport was widespread but after physical branding on the scalp or body was no longer socially acceptable people had issues with xenophobia and with carpetbaggery.
This is how the Athenians determined who was merely resided in Athens or who was just passing through and staying for a while vs who actually cared for Athens.
Why would the wishes of someone who just got here and does not like it here and wants to change it here count as much as the wishes of those who love it here and will always be here to defend it? Or the vote of someone who has always been here but who would flee to greener pastures if things get tough rather than use their wealth to help defend our shared values from being taken.
Those families whose head of household showed up to vote would philosophically speaking be the true citizens who would stay and defend the women and youth against invading forces of propaganda from the east.
Socialist Babylon was headed by the Persians, Medes, Assyrians, etc at the time of the Greeks.

The ones who didn't fight or who didn't stay to protect the weak were those attached to the communist oligarchs who fled to their retreats with their retainers and servants were the first to join forces with an invading enemy.
The families of the children of these retainers and retreated oligarchs who spread all over europe and the mediterranean coasts became the origin of the 'pagans'.

The voting citizens of athens became the center of civility and culture with their attempt at a religion of philosophical democracy which the founding fathers also tried their hand at. The spiritual church that is special and separate from the physical state that is materially corruptible became the idea behind the right to vote. Do you love us and are one with us or are you just here for a good time and will leave on your own if things get heavy?
The children of the families of those that stayed in Athens by they resident or immigrant who fought against or resisted the invaders were counted as citizens.
