I haven't even peeked at the LATimes web page in a year, but I did today. Holy hell ... LA schools can't pay their faculty & staff, Google wants lower taxes or else they'll pull an Elon Musk, & bitching about ICE, Trump, & needing ID to vote still fill the page.

What a pig circus that paper & LA have become. Give me Tom Bradley & Deukmajian days again & I'd never have left.

Over here near Moscow on the Hudson, Mangione's D has got the death penalty and mandatory life sentence thrown out. Actually, if accurate, they did a pretty damn good job...considering this coward scumbag shot this guy at close range in the back. I searched Luigi Mangione on Facebook ... there's a dozen + guys with that name.... had a student named Mike Mangione years ago, & I'd play the popular song by Chuck Mangione just to mess with him.

Plagiarism isn't a capital offense. If he couldn't face the criticism & loss of job, that's his own demon to face.

I've been targeted in the academic world myself. It's tough & demeaning when you're wrongly accused, but this guy was guilty of the highest offense at that level.

Messed up & unflrrunate as hell but no more Trump's fault that it was mine or yours.
