Silver State run. They close the road and do it every year. My friend Jeffrey was there with his. He's the Asian cat in the pic if you scroll. I think @LAdiablo met him at The Lair that day when we hosted the F1 viewing party. http://www.koenigsegg.com/koenigsegg-agera-rs-achieves-multiple-production-car-world-speed-records/
I'm sure Bughatti or Scuderia Cameron Glickenhous will want to bust that record. Then there is the revived Glumpert. But in terms of good looking cars.....Paganis are just beautiful.
It feels like just yesterday when we wanted our McCourt Dodgers to trade for Halladay. One of the best pitchers of his generation, if not the best. Also, reportedly didn't want to pitch on the west coast, so... Fuck him? But seriously, tragic and shocking story. Best wishes for the Halladay family.
It's a tragic death, I'm not saying otherwise. I was just reminiscing about how he didn't want to play here because that's a memory I have about him.
Not a plane expert, but like I said earlier, sometimes it's dangerous to advertise and market something as complex as a plane as super safe, what did they say....you can fly it with only 30 hours of experience in it, virtually stall proof, etc. People will take your word for it unless they know better because they have hundreds or even thousands of hours of flight experience in different kind of planes and different weather and other situations. It looks like from the video that he over performed the plane...took it beyond what its true flight envelope was. If I were to guess, he banked the plane too hard, and no matter what they said about the wing tips being able to create lift even at too high an angle of attack, all planes will stall when pushed too hard. The way the witness described it, looks like he was hard banking the plane, probably each time getting more aggressive, and maybe the bank was too hard...when that happens, planes lose altitude since the wings are a such an angle they are not generating verticals lift...more like horizontal lift. If you don't have enough altitude, or the engine blips on you, you have no time to recover. Most people will try to get out of the turn and level off, throttle up and try to gain altitude....but your wings are no longer generating vertical lift...you may not be able to get the right airflow on the lower wing to level off in time to gain altitude. All machines have their limits.....if you are not familiar with the limits...you are asking for problems.
People like these in the video want me to start a petition barring the word "bro" from the English vernacular.
yes those guys are tools to be sure not much they could do to try and help though probably stoner kids out on the boat for the day heard a lot of people saying they should have jumped into the water w the oil and shredded metal read other people saying his face was gone and his body sustained massive damage making it obvious he was gone and it was five minutes from the crash until they got there apparently not hard to imagine his person wasn't intact looking at what happened to the plane and yes indeed all machines have their limits and pretty clearly he was pushing this machine past its capacity riding motorcycles and fast cars its hard to imagine ever pushing a machine past my comfort zone w it even mountain biking you head down a slope a little over your level and hit some shale and make the bottom feeling lucky not to be broken he clearly felt like he could take this plane to its limits and he ate it
i like it better than "man" or "dude" or "pal" or "guy" or "buddy" idk anything gets overused but bro is not meant to be used every other word i use it at the end of a convo but prefer to say brother if the person i'm addressing is indeed a brother whether or not he's from another mother
Yeah....those guys just used it so often they probably thought it was a noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb, preposition, exclamation....etc.
My brother was LAFD and when he did his paramedic stint he would describe the deaths in such detail i didn't have to be there to see it Was w my sister when she got lost on sunset blvd around 69 and saw two girls run out onto the road in front of us The car closest to the curb hit both of them and i saw the bodies fly Sister made me sit in the car and the Beatles fool on the hill was playing and i could see everything staring out the back window that song fucked with me for a long time ff about 8 years ago and i was driving up the 5 and I saw a body go over the center median about 15 cars in front of me and i was in the fast lane people pulled over quick and there were actually 2 people and one was a 3 or 4 year old kid that a man was already holding in a blanket she had clearly broken her leg but the mom was laying flat on her back w her one leg fully separated from her hip and no blood was coming out my daughter was that age and it hit me really hard and i knew there was nothing i could do so i looked away and took off fool on the hill was playing in my head and i had to pull over and try to pull myself together nothing fun about that kind of thing
Halladay was a pro. Always. Tough as nails. Every outing. Maybe someone needs to give Darvish flight lessons
