I know this isn't Dodgers or MLB related but this hits very close to home for me.

My cousins squad was supposed to go out on a mission but something happened to where they couldn't go and David Hickman's squad took their place. I heard the news earlier today from my cousin and it has hit me like a ton a bricks thinking that the pain the Hickman family is going through right now could have been my own families pain.

Please keep SPC David Hickman and the Hickman family in your prayers and may God welcome David Hickman into Heaven with open arms.

    RIP David Hickman.

Multiple David's death by about 900,000 and you have the outcome of the wars that are being fought in Afghanistan and Iraq. Think about David, his friends and family, again multiply that by 900,000 and that is the outcome of war.

The same thing happens every time war is declared. Let David become the symbol for us, as a world and as brotherly human beings, never to allow war to happen again.

May peace and love be to all those who have lost their lives and the families and friends who are left behind.
