    Only thing I can think of is that Braun has been hitting the shit out of the ball and they didn't want someone else on, but man.... yeah would not have done that.

    I can't believe how much Contreras has fallen off. I thought for sure he was going to be an absolute monster in that lineup.

    I don't know what it is, but Zobrist has looked like a total fucking goober to me the last few times I have watched him. He is doing something different and I can't figure out what it is, but I feel like he is turning into Pence 2.0

    Brewers missed a lot of pitches right down main street early in the game. Probably going to come back to bite them in the ass with how bad the Cubs bullpen has been. Dodgers last season pounced on Quintana when he did that in the PO's. Hope this doesn't settle him down.

    We did go after him, we were said to be the second strongest team in on him. Instead the Marlins took a lesser offer cause they didn't want to take on any money. Verdugo was rumored to be the headliner in the deal.

    The Marlins are also still a horribly run organization. Brinson was the headliner and most people that follow prospects felt that his bubble had popped. Monte Harrison was a good grab, but he too is very "meh" to me compared to a Verdugo. If I remember right, the Marlins were also wanting another headliner in the deal. I don't think Buehler was one of them, but he certainly could have been, pretty sure they wanted Ruiz as well. Wonder if they are kicking themselves now.
