After I asked I looked it up. I edited my post and put the link. You said a naughty word. I'm telling on you
http://www.truebluela.com/2015/8/24...t=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter Looks like Cotton could be a bullpen option as well.
I think we see these guys from your list, + Seager Cotton (If his trial goes well) Anderson (If his trial goes well) I think Torreyes, Wilkins and Peralta will all be DFA'd as Peralta is a lost cause and both the extra infielders are not needed. We are going to see an onslaught of P's as the team looks for some sort of bridge to Kenley.
That alone tells you how having any kind of hope is futile. Who looks for playoff relief help in September from the minor league? Just lose the division and get the inevitable over with.
Oh yeah? What if he makes it to the show, gets on base and the opposing pitcher gets him leaning off of fist base?
It would be fucking awesome if he does make the team and is a difference maker in the playoffs. It's almost going to be like a try out all month long to see who makes the playoff roster. Kenley is in for sure and thats about it.
Dodgers top prospect Julio Urias is not under consideration for a call-up in early September, manager Don Mattingly told reporters, including Mark Saxon of ESPN Los Angeles. “He probably would not be one of the guys we see right away,” said Mattingly. However, the team hasn’t entirely ruled out the possibility of Urias — a consensus Top 5 prospect — debuting later in the month and pitching in relief, Saxon writes. Urias only turned 19 years old earlier this month, but he’s already pitching at the Double-A level, where he has a 3.03 ERA with 10.3 K/9 against 2.2 BB/9 in 62 1/3 innings (12 starts). http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/08/jeff-francoeur-phillies-return.html#comments
Gives it away right there, AA doesn't end their season until the 7th. So yea, probably won't see him on the first, I expect they will let him make his starts and finish the season. Cotton, on the other hand, was promoted to OKC specifically to pitch out of the bullpen, so wouldn't be shocked to see him up closer to 9/1, depending on how the next week goes for him.
