The break might give some needed rest to the team. Running off a win streak like they have can take a toll on you, and as much as I like momentum, the Puig thing made me believe a rest for the team might be better.

I hate to think that had the Dodgers had a decent beginning of the season, this win streak wouldn't have vaulted them to way ahead in the standings. But then Puig probably never gets called up.

Anyway, looking forward to the next few months. Should be interesting.

As much as I hate having no Dodger baseball for 4 days I'm fine with the break coming now. The whole team could use it. I am worried about the Dodgers losing momentum during the break however.

grienke picks up the team after an off? night by Ck. i'm pointing the finger squarely at eithier. we have contributions from the uribes and puntos on this squad. wheres our 85mil man?
the team is stepping up. cc is the perpetual injury and kemp is not ready, maybe should take the rest of the year off. but andre is healthy and lost in the middle of our lineup. just an occasional contribution would make all the difference in the world to this squad. hit the wall? tell that to kershaw. you hit the wall at the end of the year maybe.
in the meantime square up a fucking ball now and then, most of our pitching staff seems to be able to.

Just nagging injuries are fucking us over. Give Puig/Crawford some rest and Kemp will be back soon (only to go back on the DL after a week).

Bring up Joc and DL Crawford.

Our big money OF's are fucking pathetic this year.

What pisses me off is CC had a year to get himself right. He played, what, 30 games last year? Most players at his age are still in their primes, and he's is spending more time on the DL than on the field. Basically, he's a fragile little bkitch.

I put a lot of blame on our trainers. How the fuck does everyone suddenly have hamstring problems? Seriously, it's boggles my mind how everyone had the same fucking injury.

All of the above being said, a few days off wouldn't hurt at this point. Ethier is Ethier, that's not going to change before or after the ASG. I wouldn't be shocked if he's traded this year.

Agreed. I was dreading the AS Break and now I'm looking forwards to it.

The momentum was slowing down a bit already. I think the break came at a perfect time for us.

We've had one day off since June 19 (a doubleheader) so we've played 26 games in 26 days. That's rough. The break will be nice.
