How about Brian Wilson? Beach Boys? Aruba, Jamaica, Cuba I wanna take rrue... I wonder if we are drinking the same thing?
I would love to see an updated prospect ranking now with Arru on board. I see a lot of comparisons to Andrelton Simmons who everyone thought was an elite fielder with a weak bat. Yet most had him in the top 5 for the Braves who had a very strong system at the time. I could see Arru in the B- range and slot somewhere in the 8-10 spot in the rankings.
Craig (PA)Arruebarruena: Great glove, horrid bat, long name. Anything else to add? Klaw(1:13 PM) That's about right. I haven't talked to anyone who feels like he'll hit.
Doesnt have the 80 arm Simmons has. Dont even think he has the same range/instincts etc. Simmons is a generational type talent with the glove at SS And he'll hit no where near Simmons Expectations should be tempered on Arrue
With all due respect, Aruba is not Simmons...he's uh...Aruba. Or anyone else. I realize things take time, but by now, his pattern and assets/liabilities are pretty well established, wouldn't you say? And if he's a dink hitter in wherever he's coming from, is it reasonable to expect him to hit ML pitching when he gets to the Show? It gotta be WAY better than who he's been up against in the Fidel League or something. I hope he's boffo , man...he's a Dodger now. But you can't get blood out of a stone
First, the rumor was "hearing 25 mil". We have not heard anything else and we are running with it. As was previously stated that could be 25 mil over 8 years. We have no middle infield depth. Rojas supposed to be another "all glove" player. With that said, I am thinking they mean okay glove not Ozzie type glove. We have got to start filling in holes so that our transitions for younger players are not having to scramble during FA when one is not ready. What seems to kill us in the playoffs is a lack of hitting. Yes, Kersh shit the bed. However, the Cards were deep in pitching and the one guy we could truly get to pitched like an Allstar for one game. It happens. The fastball to Hanley was a killer. We owe Kelly for that. He quite literally took out one of our players. Whether on accident or on purpose, Beltran should have been limping thereafter. We are starting to get some attitude and it is working. I am one of the last to use the have faith moniker. However, when you think about how far we have come in the last two years, one can only be impressed. There is a plan in place. We see some of it. We get privy to some information. But, they are keeping some close to the vest. I am good with this if we keep winning. Finally, I think they are having to manipulate their plans a bit thanks to Kemp. His bat was essential when this whole thing started. However, his being a fragile moron has forced them to change a few things. Baseball and idiots happen. Though I have never been a Ned fan, I have to give props where they are due. At this point, my ire is focused primarily on the asshat who failed to think and cost us games. I am tired of his mouth. I am tired of the bravado. People bitch about Puig and give Kemp glowing remarks. He needs to shut the fuck up and play.
totally agree reminiscent of when bills didn't retaliate against the phils in 2008 should always be an eye for an eye can you imagine if it had been the other way around? say greinke drills beltran in the ribs and ends his postseason first, matheny would have definitely retaliated second, the hypocritical cards' fan base would still be calling us cheaters, and the team (more than likely) seeking disciplinary action the old do as i say, not as i do but i digress hanley did get hit and we did not retaliate still fucken pussies donnie baseball's apple didn't fall far from the torre tree
I think the issue is that DBB wants to be liked. Think about it. In AZ, it was clearly them being bitches. Call it anything you want. Towers wants his team to be like him. A guy who plays victim while talking shit. His ass would be beat in a bar. With the Cards, DBB saw it as, "well, it was not on purpose and we do have a reputation for fighting---we should walk away from this one". Fuck that. If we are gone after, we need to go after. PERIOD. If that makes people hate us, so be it. People hated the shit out of the yankees while they were winning five WS in a decade. In the end, whomever is wearing a ring is who can talk the shit. I firmly believe (as do most baseball analysts) that with a healthy Handley, we could have beaten the Cards and actually made the Red Sox work.

hmmmm... I still want Hanley's bat and let him play wherever Hanley wants to play, the others can sort out what's left over.
