    I voted lose 2 of 3 because Cody won't be activated until Wednesday! Facing some very good pitchers while D-Bags face our inconsistent ones.

    The pitching hasn't been that bad at all; more like an offensive sleepwak.
    Yeah, these could very well be dark games for us considering our lineup and what it almost completely has ceased to do any longer.
    If we can get crazy again, it would be a huge statement though.

    Its very possible that they wanted to keep the slump from happening late and the team not be prepared with how to deal with it.
    Now they can feel it, experience it, analyze it, and make a plan.

    was seriously going to post something similar
    i'd be a lot more concerned if this were happening 4 weeks from now
    but, in a weird way, this could actually be a good thing...
    this team has dealt with literally no adversity all season
    even when kersh and cody went down, they still kept rolling
    this could actually help them down in the post if they get down in a game or (god forbid) series
    think about it... five weeks ago (when kersh went down) our lead was 11½ games
    although we've [now] given a couple back, we nearly doubled that lead with him and [partly] cody on the dl
    imo better to have a sense of immortality than a delusion on invincibility
    get all this shit out of their system over the next couple weeks, and start prepping for the post
    wouldn't necessarily be the worst thing for potential playoff teams to get a false sense of security against us while we're scuffling
    and now with kersh and cody soon to rejoin the team...
    time will tell, but for me they almost needed something like this

    might also get rid of all the talk about breaking the "most regular season wins" bullshit

    Btw, the slump doesn't have to happen...that's bs, imo.
    If other teams have won the 116 or whatever, then it's not written in stone.
    We are losing because we are flat, and hitting like shit...it's better now than later, sure of course.
    But it's not something anybody planned, mystic crystal revelations or some shit, so we could prepare.

    I'm not able to watch tonight, but from the score it looks like AZ is playing like it's game 7 of the WS, and the Dodgers are playing like a team 20 games in first place.
