For a reliever, Kenley has a fragile disposition. If he feels even slightly off, it just goes to hell.
From what I've seen is that it seems to be common with closers. When things are out of sorts for them they seem to be at their worst. A non-save situation, a baserunner, an umpire induced walk, a big hit, coming in in the 8th inning, etc. all are things I've seen affect Jansen, Broxton, even Gagne. I've also seen Hoffman and a few other big closers have problems like this. Like the 4 back to back to back to back HR game vs. San Diego. Hoffman unexpectedly had to come in and gave up 2 of those HRs IIRC.
Hoffman's brother was my math teacher the year we hit the 4 HRs in a row. He didn't come to school the next day. Coincidence? Yeah, probably.
