Fair enough but that is where you and I disagree. You don't have to be vocal when guys are doing the right things. This team needs to be called out in a players only meeting in the worst way. Someone on that roster needs to show some balls and it should have happened after the post Greinke sweep by the padres. Instead they have displayed comfort with where they are as a team.

I'm all for some team confrontation to try and get out of a hole; but I don't agree with you devaluing Adrian. There's no denying how valuable he is to a team.

    I'll say this:

The Dodgers have A LOT of problems. Gonzalez isn't one of them. However, his rep as a superstar precedes him. With Kemp, our superstar Center Fielder, playing terrible, and Andre Ethier, the guy who used to compliment Kemp, also playing terrible, there are a lot of eyes on Gonzalez to turn the ship on his own. To be, as you say, the leader. However, people have to accept this isn't going to happen anymore. But that doesn't mean Agon is terrible and he's the problem. Agon isn't terrible, but he's older, and won't be the guy to hit 40 bombs every year. As of right now, he will be the complimentary player to Kemp when Kemp heats (hopefully) heats up. Someone who, after Kemp hits a HR or a double, get the ball rolling again with his own double.

Well, that's something we're missing. A leader is a guy that is choosen by his peers, not the management...that'd be the manager. Did the Yankees one day tell the team, hey guys follow Jeter's lead, he is your captain? No he did his thing and the team followed. Those guys are rare and that's not a guy you can just buy. I think Victorino was picked up to be that type of guy, but if you suck...you can't lead and that's what Victorino did...suck.

Kemp was probably to be the leader, but again...he has sucked for almost a year now and has kind of lost that title for now. I've kind of noticed AGon stepping into the role as of late. He has been playing great(which to me is a must), and I see him trying to get the others going and it looks like it might be happening a little. He made some new hand explosion thing when he gets a hit, and I finally see some players doing it to. He's trying to be vocal and defending his teamates like Kemp and Don Mattingly through the press. He doesn't come across as a leader because he is a slow, non-exciting type player. He's just not that Jeter or Kirk Gibson type guy , and obviously those are rare players.

And you talk alot about our ex-RedSox...but what about Youk himself? He was the first to abandon ship and has fit nicely in your team's clubhouse hasn't he? Why has he rebounded so nicely? Was it he had to get away from AGon? I doubt it. There was obviously an issue in Boston last season and it wasn't AGon, Crawford, and Punto. Beckett maybe...he seems like a dick...but we aren't stuck with him.

Youk was traded away from Boston to Chicago, he didnt jump ship and hasn't fit into our clubhouse because he's only played 17 games for us not sure what kind if rebound you think he's making but hitting .266 and sitting on the DL isn't a rebound. It's him continuing to break down.

LOL, guess I thought wrong about him doing well. Maybe that was last year. OK then F Youk!

He was traded but there was some "issues" that led to the trade wasn't there? anyways, F Youk!

Bobby b did complain about him but they were already shopping him around because he was paid a lot, sucked, couldn't stay healthy and middlebrooks looked good.

Yeah there was an issue with him and BobbyV. so like i said before, Youk was the first of many to have issues with bobbyV. I'm siding on the players side because BobbyV has had a long history of trouble making, AGon, Youk, and CC, haven't. Then again, Beckett's an ahole.

I've never claimed agon or cc to be trouble makers, just not winners. There are intangibles I expect for 20 million a year. I don't see cc or agon even putting up the stats for that kind of money much less any sort of "it" factor.

Yep...but I cannot relate to him lately at all. Before I could actually understand his point of view and felt I could make an arguement for them. Seems he's changed his managering style after he almost lost his job. He's just doing weird things. Before he was stubborn and stuck with mostly conservative ideals....then he just went into weird shit. It worked for a bit, but Puig saved him another week. Well Puig is not going to save him for long.

I don't feel that is the only move to make, Ned should go to. Just start all over Ned and Don must go now.

Well, Don makes it even easier. Another night that made me second guess him.

I hate to do this, but Ned let Kevin Gregg walk away after ST and he's in CHI with a 1.02ERA/1.08WHIP with 7-7Saves/ops.
Sure would've been nice to have him. He seemed like a good arm in ST to me...well at least we hung onto Guerra.

I was def a KG fan in ST and was a bit mad we let him go, but the Howell signing made it bearable.

I GENUINELY thought that the BP was going to be the strength of this team. Can't believe it has come to this. However, with the 4 and 5 spots in such limbo, their workload has been a lot higher. I think if we can get a solid 4 and 5, the BP will really improve.

BL needs to head to the DL and just take his mind off of this shit and work on his mechanics; just break film down day in and out to see what his flaw is.

If Mattingley wants to make an impression to the team and fans...
...when the team leaves the bases loaded tonight, he should leave the dugout, hop on the elevator, walk into the booth, and apologize/call out his team right in the middle of the game. On both television and the PA system.
