Apropos this^^, George Harrison's tree on his property was destroyed by beetles. Square business. You just never know.
I tend to agree with you, but at least offer it to us on a pay-per-view basis or something... Shit, someone needs to think outside the box on this... Been following this team for over 40 years and this is the first time i can't follow them? Not giving up Directv, got to have my Sunday Ticket... I would think that TWC is going to take a bath this year on this deal???
First, let me preface this by saying I spent way more time researching this than I care to admit. We all know that on Saturday Kershaw pitched his third career shutout at AT&T Park. I wanted to see how many times visiting players have put up 9 innings of zeroes there. Well, in the park's 15-year history, sixteen opposing players have recorded shutouts. Kershaw has the most (3), with Anibal Sanchez (2) as the only other visitor to have done it more than once. What really surprised me, though, is once you throw-in Giants pitchers, Kershaw isn't that far off from tying for most there by any player. Here's the complete list of players who've pitched at least two shutouts in that park (regular season only): Livan Hernandez - 4 Jason Schmidt - 4 Matt Cain - 4 Tim Lincecum - 4 Clayton Kershaw - 3 Shawn Estes - 2 Noah Lowry - 2 Anibal Sanchez - 2 Here's hoping he gets another shot at this in mid-September. My only question is, if he were to get his fourth shutout there, would the park's unofficial nickname be changed from Kevin Elster Field to Clayton Kershaw Ballpark?
Pedro Moura@pedromoura Over the last two seasons, Clayton Kershaw has held hitters to a .235 on-base percentage while recording a .240 on-base percentage himself
What more can this guy do?? Develop a sinker? Knuckleball??? Kershaw is the best player I have ever had the pleasure to watch grow and excel. It's a good time to be a Dodger fan! :woot: Eric Stephen@truebluela Clayton Kershaw in his last 101 starts has a 1.98 ERA
Yeah I saw when he talked about that. If he can develop a good change up.. just give up MLB.. imp: I hope Kershaw is a Dodger for life and is at some point a pitching coach or even the skipper for LA. The guy has grown to be a great leader and just get's better and better every year.
I really want Kershaw to stay forever. Make him our pitching coah or GM or even make him part of the ownership group.
I personally think that he improved again when McCrook left and GG brought Sandy Koufax back to the fold. They got to share of lot of insights.
nah man... it would be Clayton Owns Your Bitch Ass Ballpark!! I personally am inspired just to consider it...
A few more stats for the Kershaw Legacy: 1. He's allowed 3 runs or less in 24 of 25 starts this year. That 96% is the best since 1900. 2. His ERA where it currently stands is the lowest in a season by any LH starter other than Carl Hubbell. 3. No pitcher has ever won the ERA title four years in a row - a feat that at this point is almost certainly a lock for him.
Looks like you are correct. Interestingly, I read/heard that inaccuracy from two different sources. One must've got it from the other.
welcome to the internet... a point of note: Koufax led the NL for 5 years running, '62-'66 but only led the majors for 3 of those 5 seasons whereas Clayton has led the Majors for 4 seasons, not just the NL...
I might be wrong, but I believe if Kershaw leads the MLB then he's the first person ever to lead the MLB in ERA 4 seasons in a row. Incredible
