Funny.........woke up this morning and had the Statesboro Blues.
Nice little Cream cover. If you get a chance to see this guy, do it.
Happy birthday Ray. You're not like everybody else.
sounds weird to say this
but the kinks are such an under rated band imo
Such a shame the brothers couldn't get it together.
Doing Warren Zevon some justice. David Lindley is magic.
ge smith and tbone (rip) were great together
i love all the old stuff
any room for the last few years?
love the arctic monkeys and think alex turner is true talent
the act is all fun but imo this music is great
if you don't feel it ff to 36:30 for a rousing version of moonage daydream
they're fucken awesome
seemed to have disappeared and just saw they were on a long hiatus
the singer always sounded a bit like peter murphy to me
haven't had the chance to see them live because i'm not a festival kind of guy
hoping to get a chance
really enthused to see bands act like rock stars again and put on a live performance
my morning jacket is fun live as well
next show i'm going to is depeche in santa barbara
my buddy at the bowl made me a hero on my older daughters 16th birthday 16 years ago so this should be fun just her and i
don't think i can top the entire band coming over and slap her hand at the end of the show though
talking about great live rock bands i think maybe this was one of the last iconic ones
was never a huge fan especially lyrically but this song is one of my favorites for its ties to my real life experience w a sour girl
yeah what are you looking at she was a teenage girl the day that i met her
of course i live the nod to bowie and wish the drugs wouldn't snatch the talent like thieves
btw this is a crazy great video imo
started playing my old spotify playlist from when i was building the lair years ago
i was so lost and so high and i swear most of this i never had heard before
it was talking to me the whole time
there were nights at 3am by myself drawing and calculating and imagining and songs like this would turn me into someone else
i'd drop the lights and turn the volume up as high as i could stand it while spinning and sort of coming together/apart emotionally
usually found a couch for a few hours after that
really crazy to hear this and think back on that time
Twas a hell of a time
Music if fine
but I keep getting this wierd vibe about your issues with farm animals migrating to teletubbies
Wanna hear a guitar cry?
I remember Trower being touted as "the white Hendrix."
dude could bend a note though
and that one album stands up against some to the best ever imo
absolute stoner staple
