i'll take the Pirates. we get homefield advantage as division winners + we avoid Babe Ruth aka Carlos Beltran.

i don't give a shit about being macho and wanting the toughest opponent or wanting the Cardinals because " it's the Cardinals ". i want the best chance at gettin to the WS

I want the Pirates, but I will say, it would be sweet to beat the Cards, especially if we could sweep them and embarrass them.

Let's win in five. Teams who sweep the LCS don't fare to well.

I'm not sure where you're looking, but he gets a ton of credit from everyone I read/follow/know. Borderline HoF, in for me.

I would prefer the Pirates cause seeing the cards in postseason games in STL is annoying and boring at this point.

A Series at Dodger Stadium/PNC Park with Dodgers/Pirates would be awesome.

But if it's STL.. then game on bkitches!!

I echo this sentiment. Sick and tired of the color red...sick of Busch Stadium and Citizens Bank Park. Change of scenery, colors, atmosphere, etc is always great. A PNC/Dodger Stadium series would be great. Black and Gold against the Azul's blue and white.

I prefer the Pirates for the home field advantage. With the way the crowd has been it would be really tough to beat us at home, not to mention we seem to play well in Pittsburgh. The advantage to facing the Cards is that they are going with an all righty rotation. As long as Ethier is back, it would mean that we are rolling out our best lineup every night where the biggest hole may be the #2 spot of Ellis who did a good job of getting on base in that first series. Would't move anyone around in the next series, just swap Ethier in for Skip.

One step at a time. I know we can beat both these teams we're facing. Just gotta execute and get the breaks in our favor.

I bet Puig's back in the 2 hole when Ethier returns to the 5 spot.

Hopefully Don leaves Hanley in the 3 spot. We all know how much he loves his L/R/L/R lineups.
