he hasn't won shit. and every article i find says he MIGHT keep parking lots or land outside. i don't see him having much of a position to bargain especially if that 1.2 + doesn't show. the court will take it all. sounds like more spin and bluster to me.

Yeah there isn't a clear pronouncement about what is and isn't for sale as a package. for better or worse here is one reporters reporting.

Based on his past rulings, I can't see Gross invalidating a contract just to appease FUCKFACE if there are buyers who can make the creditors whole and want the team as it is with the current/legal/binding deal in place? Even if the buyer has to be MLB itself as the deadline looms.

In essence, FUCKFACE will probably limp and mutter "....and I was only a few more months away from the deadline" for the rest of his life!

As of November 8th the formal settlement to sell the team had not been submitted to the judge for approval. As indicated in the link he had discusses it with both sides. Has it now been submitted?

Probably to give him a fair shot at max value as is, and to prevent yet another FUCKFACE lawsuit for unfair bias or some shit.

MLB has been very successful thus far just giving him rope to twist in!

Ruven, I think what is missed is that Frank is and always has been a slick real estate con artist. It was never about the Dodgers, the fans or LA. It was all about the smoke and mirror marketing approach he and Jamie used to make money and to get money out of their purchase. He cut expenses by hurting our farm system. He worked to reduce our payroll etc. What he accomplished was about 200 million in money into his pocket along with Jamie. The only thing that screwed their scheme this early was the divorce. Had it not been for that it would still be business as usual for another year or two while they planned their scheme out. It is like the guy in California who bought a house for 500K a few years ago and saw it double in price to a million dollars. He took 300K worth of a home equity loan out on the house along with his interest only loan payment. The housing market crashes and his house is now worth 450K and he owes 800K on the house and is deeply under water. The news cameras come up and everyone blames the bank for making the loan etc etc etc. His house is now foreclosed on and again it is woe is him, woe is his family and naughty bank etc. What folks forget is that in a few short years he took and investment of 0 dollars and made 300K off of and took that money in real money. Not to shabby and if used it to send his daughter to Stanford she has her degree paid for and no student debt etc. Frank is a leach and he made a ton of money off of the Dodgers. His divorce screwed them up and ate into a lot of their profit. It will be interesting to see how much more he gets out of his Leveraged purchase of the dollars with the eventual buyer providing the money to pay his debt and perhaps leave him a tidy additional profit. He already has made up to 200 million and how much of the current debt has been paid for over the years by Dodger team operations? Would you say 100% or close to it? Frank is the guy who keeps getting a new credit card to pay for his previous credit card bills and eventually files bankruptcy all while accumulating 75K in goods until it ended. One of the things we have differed on was his ultimate end game. I thought it was to sell the team at max value and I believe you felt he did want to keep the team. I would suggest he has used MLB's money to squeeze the situation and sale to do just that and max his value. It was inevitable the debt would catch up but not this soon. I suspect if he could have lasted(without the divorce) to the new media contract that advanced payment would have ended up in his pocket and the debt crisis would have popped after he pocketed that money. We may look back down the road and see the divorce saved the franchise. Could you imagine even more debt and no new contract for a perspective owner since Frank had recently signed one and pocketed the money!

I think they might just go ahead and do the hearing on the 30th, with no filings or arguments to be heard prior.

Tuborg posts a rather cynical evaluation of McCrooks end game plans but I find precious little to argue about. McCrook began extracting wealth from his leveraged buyout of the Dodgers from Day 1 and without the divorce we might never have known his plans until it was too late and he pocketed the broadcast money too. Fucking McCrook...

I find your name and description of him to be one of the most accurate on here. He is and was a sleazy real estate developer when he got here. I think there is a lesson to be learned from all of this and that is sports fans need to question the alignment of the interest of folks who buy teams with theirs as fans. Fox purchase of us was business and not because they loved baseball. Some of the perspective developers I feel are true sports/Dodger fans and that right now for me consists of Cuban and Gilbert. Cuban is a sports nut and Gilbert is a Dodger fan to the nth degree. Some of the others are developers etc etc etc oh yeah and egotist.

There is no approved settlement agreement and Fox as a major player doesn't know all of the terms of the agreement between McCourt and MLB. There are reasons people don't trust what is going on. Monday last week we have the money to go after a major free agent and by Friday we don't and have to reduce payroll. How much credibility does the process and the folks on each side still have with us as fans? The labor deal is being announced tomorrow at noon so perhaps the hearing was cancelled because folks from MLB had to be there.
