Mayweather is the Chelsea of boxing. Boring, boring, boring but gets the job done. Sad but true.

Young heavyweight coming up from New Zealand called Joseph Parker. Uncharismatic as a brick, but fast, fast hands for a heavyweight. I think he'll be in the heavyweight picture in a few years. Fucking bore out of the ring though.

Credit where credits is due. Mayweather pushes the hype.....the bad guy image....it helps sell tickets and gives him bigger bank. Boxer's without personality don't often get the recognition even if they are bigger threats and possibly a match for skill.

Anyway, you already hear Floyd backing away from a Manny-Floyd 2 bout. He wants no part of a series of fights with Manny.....I think he knows that if he gives Manny enough opportunities, he might figure Floyd out. Too bad. If this series precipitates, you might get something of an Ali-Frazer type duel for the ages........by Money-Maker is too risk adverse to try that route.....even if it might cement both of the fighter's career for posterity.

seriously? you pac fans still in denial. gives him enough opportunities he might figure him out? floyd took that man to school last night. please go back and watch the fight. turn down all the sound and just watch. it is a sparring match at best for floyd. to think that chump had a chance is comical.

wait wait...but he dodged him waiting to get old. heres the kicker, wait for it, floyd is older. ooops manny just isnt that good. never has been. the sport is boxing. to hit and not get hit is the name of the game. another masterful performance by one of the greatest to ever step in the ring.

    have to agree
and i am a manny fan
sure it wasn't an exciting fight to the average fan
but to the purists, it was a masterpiece
i do however disagree that pacquiao is a chump, far from it
he is (was) a great fighter
and that is what makes what floyd accomplished that much better
he completely neutralized a great champion; beat him and outclassed him in every way
the post-fight punch stats were mind boggling...
manny -- who routinely throws upwards of 100 punches per round -- limited to less than 10?
a lot in the crowd i watched the fight with were asking why manny didn't throw more punches, and the answer is simple... floyd kept beating him to the punch, over and over again
i didn't score the fight, but there is no way pacquiao won more than three rounds
    and talk about irony...
floyd being classy and respectful by praising manny for being a great fighter
and manny being a delusional bitter beaten fighter, saying floyd didn't do anything and just ran [but props to max kellerman for calling him out; reminding him that floyd threw/landed significantly more punches and that even he had him way behind]
and now comes word that pacquiao purportedly had some sort of shoulder injury -- perhaps to his rotator cuff
    shame on you manny
there is one and only one reason you lost last night... you fought a superior opponent
    as for a rematch, why?
i don't see any way the outcome would be any different
and with floyd's dominance last night, i can't see the public demanding/desiring it
congrats floyd, you are a great fighter

The fight was masterful. Matador and the Bull. Ive been told many times over the years, and ive posted on it, its been bob arum and vegas that have been ducking floyd. manny brings in too much money. even last night you could hear the crowd was overwhelmingly manny fans. considering the price of the few tickets sold i think that alone explains that story. from my various book making friends, who cleaned up, people were dropping their first born on manny to win. vegas loves the little guy. more so than floyd. even floyd will attest to that. floyd has ran through the best time and time again. i only feel as strongly as i do about him because its history that people have been blessed with witnessing and they are discarding it for nothing other than nonsense.

the money mayweather thing is an act. its not really him. think hollywood hogan. its all wwf and done so that every can hate the guy. hell even mike tyson was talking shit about the guy. mike tyson! isnt that ironc. latest from iron mike was that floyd was a bitch because he walked around with bodygaurds. really mike? how quickly we forget our good friend hommo...just saying. hate the guy all you want but appreciate the skill

    yeah his counterpunching was awesome
and it seemed every time manny was about to throw a punch floyd hit him first

the only dude out there right now who i think has a serious shot is cotto. hes big enough to throw floyd in the corner and keep him there yet can box enough to cut the ring on him instead of chasing him endlessly.

if you go back and watch his earlier fights, pre margarito(that was some bullshit), cotto is a killer and eats his opponents up. imo the loss to manny was a farce and against popular belief i honestly feel he was juicing at the time. but thats neither here nor there.

cotto vs mayweather in sept has potential to be fight of the year. if floyd decides to fight him instead of amir khan

that could actually be an interesting fight
but tbh, after watching floyd last night i think he'd do to cotto what he did to canelo
cotto is a lot stronger [than canelo or manny] but i think floyd is just too good defensively to get cornered

Floyd's performance the other night was as much, or perhaps even more masterful than his avoiding Pacquiao for the last 5-6 years. It was to that level.

Feel bad for anyone who actually paid to watch it, though. The " Fight of the Century " should've happened 5-10yrs ago. Definitely didn't happen on Saturday..not that anyone was expecting it. Sure was promoted that way, though.

I'd love to see Khan given a go. Glass jaw, but has heart. Hand speed and flurries for days. I don't like his chances against Floyd, but I think it would be a good matchup, as there's at least a chance the fight could be stopped at some point, haha.

yeah i like khan but floyd would take him out quickly
years ago there was this flashy kid with power that i thought would give mayweather problems
    angel manfredy
he had outboxed and beat up the always tough arturo gatti
took floyd less than 2 rounds to dispatch manfredy

    here's the manfredy/gatti fight if anyone's interested...

Pacquiao apparently has a significant tear in his rotator cuff that will keep him out 9-12 months
