    Wasn't he awesome in an HBO thing with the middle eastern actor Riz something?...it was real popular here as I remember. Lots of discussion about it. I think Turturro was his lawyer after he was incarcerated. And the most excellent, late M.K. Williams was in it, too...

    but this series was done by the same people that did the wire
    the kind of people that write gritty real world fiction
    in order to help you see what is obscured by the news and other works of non fiction

    I'm tripping right now but here goes....

    40 years ago in college, I read a story that sounds a lot like this movie. I cannot recall the title or the author but I'm gonna find out...

    It's an epistolary short story. It involves a series of letters from an editor to a contemporary writer. The editor is informing the writer that he's plagiarized each story he submits for publication. The author is baffled - he's the legit author, but he realizes that the author who "wrote" the stories 20 years earlier has used time travel to plagiarize HIS stories in the past, thus earning preminence. It's a great premise.

    I haven't read King's novella ("Four Past Midnight") but I know he wrote that story in 1990 ... years after I read that actual plot in 1985.

    What the actual fuck?

    The best animated film you ever saw since you were a kid and Disney was Disney... " Flow".
    Wondrous artwork and spectacularly accurate animal movement...and not a word spoken in it.
    The next time I watch it will be soon, and my third time.

    It won ( if it actually is a measure to be considered), the Academy Award for best animated film...well deserved.
    And another thing that made me take note on a positive level, is that Halle Berry, at 58 years old, is as hot as ever. I meam smokin'...she makes all the other enhanced starlets running around look like like amateurs.

    Anyone else as dismayed as me over the trend for male full frontal in movies and TV? Watching White Lotus season 3, and so far there've been two shots of guy junk and just one set of titties shown. What the hell??? It's almost like Hollywood wants to be edgy and nude chicks doesn't do it anymore. Or they're trying to appease all the GLBTs. Either way, it sucks.

    I am extremely dismayed.
    When a movie starts, and nudity is listed, I get a thought that it will be cool to check out the ( whoever the actress is) tits.
    Instead, more often than not, all you see is some dude's schlong.
    Stop dicking us around, you Hollywood homo whores...
    Thank God they warn us, however, about " smoking" or "harsh language".
