and do not be fooled... the only reason he's showing any (mock) remorse is because he got caught
fuck you braun... had you not been caught, you never would have come clean... EVER
pout if you must, apologize if you must... hell, cry if you want
but you're a fucken cheater, you've always been a fucken cheater, and you'll always be a fucken cheater

Report: Ryan Braun ready to admit PED use and apologize for his actions
By Mark Townsend | Big League Stew – 16 hours ago

With Alex Rodriguez dominating the headlines following his return to the field and the announcement that he would be allowed to continue playing until the appeals process began for his 211-game suspension is head, the name of Ryan Braun has quietly of faded into the background.

That was until Friday. First we heard Braun mentioned as one of the names that "60 Minutes" reports Alex Rodriguez's inner circle leaked to Yahoo! Sports in an attempt to take the focus off A-Rod in the Biogenesis scandal. Later in the day it was reported that Braun is being sued for defamation by Ralph Sasson, who is described as "a lifelong friend"of Braun's. Our own David Brown has the incredible details of that developing story.

Now comes a report from USA Today's Bob Nightengale that states Braun is ready to come clean on his performance-enhancing drug use during his MVP season 2011, and will also apologize for the deceptions during the process and after his positive test for testosterone in 2011 was overturned.

    Here's more from Nightengale's report:
Braun, according to people who are familiar with his plans, is ready to soon admit that he used performance-enhancing drugs in parts of the 2011 season, the reasons why he did it, and publicly apologize for the lies and deception.
His people familiar with the plans, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because Braun has yet to make the announcement, said he has begun sending apologies to baseball officials, and is expected to express remorse in the statement. It's unclear what specifics will be in the statement.
And, for the first time, he will admit guilt.

If the report is proven to be true, perhaps Braun finally realized that it's time to start rebuilding bridges before all those that surround him burn out. In many cases it's probably too late — like with Ralph Sasson, for example — but he has to start somewhere, and there's no better time than now if that's indeed the direction he's leaning.

As always, stay tuned for the latest on this developing story. I'm sure there will be a lot more to come in the days and perhaps even weeks ahead if Braun enters full fledged damage control mode.

This fucking prick called other players for support and also told them, on top of many others, that the guy who conducted the testing was anti-Semitic. What an absolute POS. Seriously fuck him.

How fucking low can you get, calling someone a racist and using your religion as something to hidden behind. Fuck you, you asshole.

I seriously hope he fucking dies, now.

    Imma remember this one.

The guy is a total fucking douchebag though. Who really wants to hear this guy speak?

It's just going to be another hollow ass "apology".

I'm sorry I took PED's and cheated the game, the fans, the owners, and the players but I'm still going to keep all the money I've made from PED's.

I don't blame the guy but he's not sorry for doing them and nor should he be. imo. I'd stick a needle in my ass cheek for millions of dollars as well.

Seriously...I'd really like to see him just give this kind of response. Can someone just be fucking honest for once?

I want one of these fuckers to just say something like this:

"Well I did it and honestly I'm not sorry, there was a lot of money to be made and I wanted to be the best player I could be for myself, the (insert team)Brewers, and our fans. I did what I felt was best to achieve that goal. I realize now that it was the wrong decision, but the money and fame was too great to resist. I'm just a man and am not perfect. I think a great many have used PEDs for the same reasons but I cannot stand here today and tell everyone I am truly sorry. I didn't make a mistake, I made a bad decision. I've made many more millions than I would've playing clean, and have had a better career because of it until now. I will play clean now because I have to, it is the rules and I will abide by the rules from here on out. Thank you for listening to me speak."

    America can forgive cheaters
But it's a lot harder to forgive LIARS.

Especially liars who tried to ruin other people's lives when he knew he was guilty. His press conference from '12 makes me hurl.

Gibson: 'Cheaters' like Braun rob other players
By Chris Adamski | The Associated Press – 13 hours ago

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Kirk Gibson would like to have a private conversation with disgraced slugger Ryan Braun.

The Arizona Diamondbacks manager said Sunday that ''cheaters'' like Braun rob other players of opportunities for moments such as his pinch-hit home run during the ninth inning of Game 1 of the 1988 World Series for the Dodgers.

Braun accepted a 65-game suspension last month. The Milwaukee Brewers star apologized for ''mistakes'' but has yet to publicly admit to using performance-enhancing drugs.

''If I get a chance to see Braun, I've got a question for him right to his face, you know?'' Gibson said Sunday before a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. ''Is he about rehearsed (enough) by now, you think? About ready to come out? He's probably practicing at the theater school somewhere. Just you look at how things like that can influence people's opportunities and an opportunity to do something like that.''

Gibson had been asked about his famous homer off the Oakland Athletics' Dennis Eckersley 25 years ago when, unprompted, he referenced Braun. Gibson wouldn't reveal his exact questions for Braun, but he implied it would concern the 2011 NL division series.

Braun hit .500 during a five-game victory by the Brewers over Gibson's Diamondbacks. He went 2 for 3 with a walk and a run scored during a 3-2, 10-inning Milwaukee victory in the deciding Game 5. That month, Braun would test positive under Major League Baseball's drug program.

''I mean, all things considered, we should have won a game,'' Gibson said of Game 5 in 2011. ''All things considered, the last game, we tied them up and had a chance to win it. But there were other times in my career where I did overcome cheaters with my teammates. We had our chance.''

Braun successfully appealed the suspension he was given for the 2011 positive test. He was suspended last month in connection with the Biogenesis clinic, an investigation that has also ensnared New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and 12 other players.

Braun strongly denied any wrongdoing after his first positive test.

''It will be interesting to see what he has to say,'' Gibson said of Braun publicly addressing his transgressions. ''I said this a long time ago, but I think that people should have an opportunity to ask him some questions and have him answer them unrehearsed. But something tells me he's getting really prepared for just about anything they can throw at him.''

Gibson said his wife is upset about Braun possibly costing Arizona a chance at a World Series in 2011. Gibson initially defended Braun after his first positive test, implying he should have been given the benefit of the doubt.

''I'd been listening to his line of (expletive),'' Gibson said Sunday. ''So you take it at face value.''

Gibson, who has been Arizona's manager since July 2010, won the 1988 NL MVP award along with playing for world championship teams that year and in 1984 as a member of the Detroit Tigers.

Gibson also played for the Kansas City Royals and Pirates during a 17-season career in which he hit 255 home runs.

The 29-year-old Braun has 211 career home runs. A five-time All Star, Braun won the 2007 NL Rookie of the Year and the 2011 NL MVP awards.

''I'm not surprised that he hasn't addressed people,'' Gibson said. ''He probably doesn't give a (expletive) about me. But you know, he's got it really good, and I was one of the guys who went through many things - work stoppages, etc. - so he could do that. So I would hope he respects me and everyone who stood up for him that came before he played the game.

''If he thinks he's giving back to the game, he has a different idea of how to give back than I do.''

    this just keeps getting better...

Suspended Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun told stars around baseball before spring training 2012 that the man who collected his urine that tested positive for synthetic testosterone was anti-Semitic and a Chicago Cubs fan in an effort to gather support throughout the game, three sources familiar with the conversations told Yahoo! Sports.

Braun sought backing from Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, whom he had beaten out for the National League MVP months earlier, along with Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto and Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, among others, sources said. He reached out to peers in hopes they would publicly stick up for him following an expected suspension.

ESPN.com first reported the subject of the conversations.

A number of players with whom Braun spoke, including Brewers teammates, believed the allegations. A source close to Dino Laurenzi Jr., the test collector, said the anti-Semitism allegation is untrue; his fan allegiance is unclear. It added to the backlash against Braun inside the Milwaukee clubhouse as well as outside following his recent 65-game suspension for his involvement with the Biogenesis clinic. Kemp told reporters people in the game felt “betrayed” and that he was “disappointed.”

During spring 2012, Braun avoided a 50-game suspension by winning his appeal on a chain-of-custody error due to faulty protocol in Major League Baseball's drug-testing program. In a news conference upon his arrival at spring training – one he invited non-Brewers players to, though they declined to attend – Braun impugned the league's testing policy and called the collector "very suspicious."

Earlier in the day, a member of Braun's camp had leaked Laurenzi's name in an email to Yahoo! Sports. Laurenzi had kept the sample of Braun's urine stored in his house because there was no FedEx store within a reasonable distance that would ship the sample according to MLB's rules. Braun's lawyers argued successfully that this broke the chain of custody, even though the lab that tested the sample said it had not degraded and was valid.

Upon Braun's suspension less than a month ago for doing business with Biogenesis, which provided PEDs to more than a dozen major league players, a number of major leaguers publicly censured Braun and made calls for stiffer penalties for drug use.

Reports over the weekend indicated Braun has started apologizing to those he lied to and plans on coming clean publicly about his drug use. It is unclear whether he has spoken with Laurenzi.

Braun was sued this week by a former friend named Ralph Sasson, who alleges Braun's agent, Nez Balelo, paid him $5,000 to dig up information on Laurenzi. Sasson also said Braun used PEDs throughout his career at the University of Miami.
