At least Jason Schmidt was injured - this guy is healthy but he blows goats.

This is the Salary Paid per Win Above Replacement (in millions of dollars). I ran this calculation to make a point about Tucker, and then Teo had to screw it up. Still, Hernandez missed a few games due to injury, otherwise his WAR might be higher, so I won't put too much weight into it (although certainly he's not having a good year either). Point is, right now at $76M per win, Tucker's lack of earning his contract is astronomical.

    T. Hernandez 139.9
    Tucker 76.3
    Betts 10.2
    Smith 9.9
    Ohtani 7.9
    Freeman 6.4
    Edman 5.9
    Rojas 5.0
    Call 2.0
    Muncy 1.9
    Rushing 0.5

Yep, Dodger players definitely read DSP between innings.

If Kyle Tucker can get going to his usual form, @DTrainMLB says it could feel like a trade deadline acquisition for the Dodgers.

    @BlakeHHarris
Just checked [Tucker’s non-catch] from last night…. 95% catch probability.

Skubal’s outing looks entirely different and I’m sure the result of the game looks different as well if this is caught.

    Yeah, you gotta catch that.

That really irritates me. I heard it on the radio feed yesterday and this is the first time I've seen it. ABSOLUTELY, that should have been caught. Dude half-assed it.

Here's Monday's take (paraphrasing), and now that I've seen it I know exactly what he means:

"Some players will casually fade back with the fly, thinking they're tracking it and then suddenly it carries on them, when they should be sprinting to the spot they expect the ball to go to, turn around and make adjustments from there."

    Tucker really won a GG?

I watched it again this morning, and I swear it looks like he's shagging a fly during practice. If Roberts had any guts, he'd have pulled him right there to send a message. I bet instead he gave Tucker an ass pat and a "you'll catch it next time" as he came into the dugout.

Billy Martin would have belittled him like the milquetoast motherfucer he is.

Billy Martin didn't treat his players like little leaguers. Nor did Tommy, Sparky, Leo, Earl, Bobby, Tony, and countless others.

    Agree...indeed.
But on the other hand, Kal Drogo had both.
I confess. Once in a great while, I don Capri pants.
