Does anyone care anymore? It's obvious the billionaires don't.

Another reason I'm glad I don't live in LA anymore....

TWC reportedly engaged in negotiations for SportsNet LA Distribution
by Matthew Moreno | Dodgers Nation — 1 hour ago

The Los Angeles Dodgers won a second-consecutive National League West division title last season, but plenty of fans were left in the dark as pay-TV providers failed to agree to carriage terms with Time Warner Cable for SportsNet LA, the exclusive home of the Dodgers.

With the Dodgers well into their Cactus League schedule and Opening Day rapidly approaching, the impasse lingers on. However, according to Ronald Grover of The Street, TWC reportedly is in talks with other providers to distribute SportsNet LA:

Time Warner Cable, the country’s second-largest cable-TV operator, has begun talking with other pay-TV distributors in Los Angeles about ending an impasse to carry the Dodgers’ SportsNet LA, which has been unavailable to most of the nation’s second-largest market for more than a year.

SportsNet LA stated they were willing to enter into binding arbitration with DirecTV, which likely would’ve led to additional deals being struck with other providers, but the cable-satellite company refused.

DirecTV recently released a statement expressing hope that an agreement would soon fall into place. It came months after Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten said during the Winter Meetings he believed SportsNet LA would be widely distributed come April 6 — when the Dodgers begin their regular-season schedule.

There’s been a general assumption pending mergers of AT&T with DirecTV and Comcast with TWC needed to be completed in order for significant progress in talks to be made. Should that be true, news of the FCC delaying their decision on Comcast taking control of TWC doesn’t bode well.

With the Dodgers locked in a pennant race down the stretch of last season, TWC made the final six regular-season games available on KDOC, an independent station that is carried by all providers in Southern California and can be received with an over the air antenna.

Reaching a resolution will have to come without the aid of the commissioner’s office as Rob Manfred said in mid-February he wouldn’t be getting involved.

Sad thing is, this might be the last year he makes a sound doing Dodger games...

It's like no NFL in Los Angeles... Since the games are not available to the masses, no one will care???

People will care. We hardcore fans still follow the games religiously.

And Vin is a fucking God, not just in LA, but in all of sports. If Vin were to retire, he'd be the front page of every sports magazine.

    Guy is that beloved.

Vinnie "IS" that beloved we agree

However there is something to be said comparing a forever blacked out Dodgers to the utter lack of ANY football team in LA...

With no team here to cheer for, the locals end up cheering for some other city's team. Way fucked up... but... without a local product, THAT CAN BE SEEN, what the hell does anyone expect??

Is TWC trying to get LA fans to cheer for the vaGiants or PAAdres simply because those are the only teams we can watch? Wait a minute isn't TWC still Atlanta based?

Dodgers have five Saturday games on FOX/ FS1 in 2015
By Eric Stephen | True Blue LA — 1 hour ago

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Fox Sports on Wednesday announced its 2015 schedule for Saturday national telecasts, which includes five Dodgers games.

Fox begins its Saturday telecasts on April 11, with Red Sox at Yankees at 10 a.m. PT and Royals at Angels at 6 p.m., both games on Fox Sports 1.

The first Dodgers game on Fox will be on Saturday, May 30 against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, a 4 p.m. PT start. The other fox game is on July 4, hosting the Mets at Dodger Stadium, also a 4 p.m. start.

The games on Fox are exclusive national broadcasts, which means no SportsNet LA telecast and folks in the Los Angeles market can only see the game on Fox.

The Dodgers are also on Fox Sports 1 on three Saturdays, all 1 p.m. PT starts: July 18 at the Nationals, August 1 against the Angels at Dodger Stadium, and August 8 at the Pirates.

Fox Sports 1 telecasts are national but not exclusive, meaning SportsNet LA will also broadcast the game. In addition, the Fox Sports 1 telecasts are not subject to local blackout, giving people in the Los Angeles market a second (or first) option to watch the game.

The Fox games will also be available online via the Fox Sports Go app, usually requiring logging in via television provider.

The last two weekend of the year are open, with Fox waiting to announce their telecasts until having some idea which games will be relevant down the stretch.

It's the old "outta sight, outta mind". We hardcore fans WILL continue to support them, but what about the younger fans? The radio was my first experience with the Dodgers, then TV. Went to games as well and I was hooked. Now we've taken the TV portion away from up and coming fans.

    I fucking hate TWC.

It's a downward spiral and no one involved is innocent.
The guggenheims payed too much for a team
TWC payed too much for broadcast rights
Fans payed to much for tickets, beer, jerseys etc.

Everyone thought this would just grow endlessly so they spent recklessly

The cumulative effect is that it appears the dodgers found the tipping point
