So my MLB TV package has been suspended due to using a blocking service Proxy.

I am now waiting for a "supervisor " to call me within 72 hrs to discuss my options.

    WTF.....

Also Netflix stopped working. Message read. We see that you are using a proxy server. Please change this so you can enjoy Netflix... Or some shit like that.

I changed it and bam.. Netflix back up and running..

This is absolute bullshit!! I've already paid for these services!!! Gahhhh

I guess I really don't care right now anyway.. This team is hard as fuck to watch..

My 10 year old is bummed tho.

Mayne Jerry is the reason nobody wants to pick up the channel.

Netflix recently prohibited the use of VPNs for streaming. They've been getting a lot of backlash for it.

What blocking service do you use? As of today my mlbtv was working. Netflix stopped working about a month ago, so I cancelled Netflix.

I don't know if this will help, but a legit reason people use VPNs sometimes is for better quality. You could claim mlb.tv was constantly buffering without your VPN service.

Nice. Thanks for the valid explanation. I'll definitely use this to get my subscription back.

Last year I used unblockus but couldn't renew my account so went with unlocator. MLB TV with unlocator is terrible. I keep having to reload the stream like every inning. It would just get hung up.

It's frustrating that we even have to do this shit just to watch our favorite team.

I live 9 miles from the stadium and can't watch them on TV.

I had this issue come up a few times recently using Unlocator.

All I had to do was go back in to my computer's network settings and add two different IP addresses. Everything is running smoothly again.

I personally use Private Internet Access. I think it's similarly priced and is fairly well regarded in the privacy circles. I've never had issues with accessing MLB.tv before.

SportsNet LA wins 5 Los Angeles area Emmy Awards
by Matthew Moreno | Dodger Blue — 26 minutes ago

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ television network, SportsNet LA, won five Emmy® Awards at the 68th annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, presented by the Television Academy at the new Saban Media Center.

SNLA for the second consecutive year won the award for top sports feature. They earned it for their Dodgers Holiday Story featuring Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully, which aired on the network’s “Access SportsNet Dodgers” show.

Greg Taylor, who has directed the Dodgers’ production team since 2010, was the executive producer on the feature. Producer Erick Cesar Vazquez, editor Scott Pellman and cameraman Julian Gooden also worked on the feature.

SportsNet LA also won the Emmy for Live Sports Coverage for their broadcast on Opening Day of the 2015 season. Game coverage for the network is led by three-time regional Emmy Award winner Alanna Rizzo, who is in her third season with the Dodgers.

Rizzo is joined throughout the season by the likes of Ned Colletti, Nomar Garciaparra, Orel Hershiser and Jerry Hairston Jr. during pre- and postgame coverage. John Hartung is SportsNet LA’s primary studio anchor.

Videographer David Strumpf won the Emmy for outstanding videographer, single camera, programming for his exceptional work on “Backstage Dodgers,” which provides fans with a glimpse inside the clubhouse on a weekly basis.

The networks’s pregame show, “Lead-Off L.A.” earned the Emmy for top sports series-programming (live broadcast), and the Dodgermentary: Welcome to Dodgertown won the Emmy for Sports Special.

I didn't know you could win awards for shows that no one can watch.

I just cancelled TWC and got Directtv. I'm slingboxing (no homo) SNLA from someone else's house.

I actually just bit the bullet and TWC will be installed on 8/2.

My Uverse was just bad and I'll save 100.00 per month...

Can't wait to watch games again...my son is stoked.

He would actually bring me advertisements from his Dodgers magazine he gets in the mail.. And leave them on my desk..

    Poor guy.

Imagine watching the Dodgers in the WS and your cable box keeps skipping. You miss strike 3 to win. That's TWC.
I got TWC specifically for the Dodgers too and it was fine for a year. But the equipment is so cheap and deficient. The customer service is horrid. Once my promotional period ended, my bill was $148.00 for 1 DVR Box and basic Internet. Outrageous. Switched to DirectTV yesterday.

I'm kind of a nerd with home electronics, so buying new devices and finding alternatives to watch the games has been fun. Hopefully after all the mergers, DirectTV picks up the channel eventually.

I hate twc. I switched for the dodgers too. We'll they aren't even time warner anymore lol

Some advice though. They are desperate to keep customers and every 6 months or so I call them and tell them I'm gonna switch and they hook it up. I'm in a fios area so they matched the triple play offer and also I have free hbo, showtime, starz and the movie channel.

They will drop price and give you free stuff.

If you do this make sure you tell them specifically what package from another cable or satellite company is cheaper and comparable in relation to the plan you have with them. Most are but they check right there and will go down in price for you. But you can't just make it up if you catch my drift.

Btw they suck though. I ordered the last ufc ppv and had people over and these fucks couldn't get the shit working until the last 2 fights. Lol

I had TWC previously and their customer (dis)service is second to none.

Is it worth the absolute misery again??

Not like ANY of these damned mega telecoms are any better at this point...:banghead:

The SportsNet LA channel will be priced higher next season, returning to its initial rate of more than $4.50 a month per subscriber home. That is the amount that AT&T’s DirecTV, Cox Communications and Frontier Communications all have complained was too high. Time Warner Cable, which entered into a long-term deal to distribute the sports channel, in March had offered a reduced rate for one year to encourage other pay-TV providers to carry it — but the proposed discount has since been abandoned.

“That deal is no longer on the table -- it didn’t work,” Charter Chief Executive Thomas Rutledge said Tuesday in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. “We would love to sell the channel to others, but no one has bought it — and we are not giving it away. So if consumers want the Dodger channel, they’ll need to subscribe to us to get it.”

Idiotic greed. We have to be the only major media market to have such a fucked up distribution model for its signature baseball team.

I blame the Dodgers. They didn't have the foresight to see the other distributors balking on another overpriced RSN.

They could've stayed on Prime Ticket for 7 billion dollars. An established network that already had distribution on every provider.

Gotta pay that billion dollar acquisition cost plus operating expenses.

Short sided though when the next contract comes up and the ratings drop due to lack of access to viewership.

Plus it just opens the door for unlicensed distributors to stream for free. Once free, it's hard to let go of free.

It's been proven that if a consumer is given a reasonable price for a good, they would rather pay that price rather than get it free through less than "approved" methods (iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, etc).
