I see what you did there...I think it is sacrilege officially, or maybe blasphemy.
But clever, even though the penalty is severe, or woulda been back in the day.
Funny how adding one little letter could have got you crucified...

"I Love A Parades"...it's a song, it's an incorrect use of grammar, it's a winning pitcher, it's another FO " rabbit outta the hat" trick...it's many things.

    Part of my point.
All those 2B that some of us were salivating over have had bad years.
Some loved Dozier, some wanted Forsythe, others, of course, liked Villar.
With the arrival of Taylor it has become a moot issue.
Taylor is giving us a nice mix of what Villar/Forsythe/Dozier were supposed to bring.
A nice combo of speed and power at the front of the order who could drop to the #5 spot in the lineup and bring runs home too. A guy who is a plus vs our other weaknesses at the time, LHP, as is super versatile and could fill in for anyone in the IF and even some in the OF.
That is what I wanted from Villar.
But who the fuck wants Villar now?
Not with Chris "The Man" Taylor around.

I'm glad to see you have finally come around on your Villar obsession. Chris Taylor works in mysterious ways.

i hate platoons when 1 guy is clearly better than the other
taylor is 100x better offensively than forsythe
and belli is better than agon on both sides
forsythe and agon can play on sundays when doc puts out the jv lineups

You had me at "i hate platoons"

But I think Rube was talking about Forsythe platooning with AGon. Taylor and Belli are in both lineups.

    yeah saw that
but i'd rather have belli at 1b every day regardless
and agon should hit no higher than 6th unless/until he shows something

    This is a given.
Nobody wants Agon hitting if he isnt hitting.

When you stop at "I Hate Platoons" you miss out on the whole story.

Agree. Ideally we don't want 2 everyday guys switching between the OF and IF constantly.

I think everyone knows that Forsythe is better against lefties than right-handed pitchers, but it might surprise some to hear how much better. His slash line vs lefties is 338/461/535. Vs righties it is 188/309/225. That is atrocious. Why does he not get platooned for every single time there's a right-handed starting? It seems Joc and others have to sit against lefties all the time. Why does Forsythe almost always get a free pass?

I was going to say "you should look at his career stats and not just his 2017 stats." We shouldn't make decisions based on small sample sizes. But then I looked up his career stats...

    Career OPS vs LHP: .837
    Career OPS vs RHP: .663
