i was just expressing that since the republicans have realized no one is really invested it they seem to be ready to get on board or step out of the way.

I'm in favor of tighter and more local control of our thieving fucking politicos. If that means direct democracy in favor of representative democracy then I for one don't mind hearing about an issue until it's handled.

On Gay rights, I don't really care if it's a marriage or a civil union until our own elected government decides that one counts and the other doesn't. Then it's an issue like we have today. This is a government created problem.

This is a government related problem created by elected officials NOT FOLLOWING THE RULE OF LAW and instead trying to follow

The separation of church and state remains essential for our longevity. Despite being raised under the scrutiny and threats and hollow rules of the Catholic religion I have no interests having MY elected LEGAL government create laws to mimic stories from ANY holy book.

To argue otherwise would also support enforcement of Shari'a law which is even further insane.

Comparing one mans book of 'holy' stories to another mans book of 'holy' stories is also insane. Unless we're talking the Church of the Holy Spaghetti Monster or the Mormons both of which are totally sane. ahem...

All 'holy' books are chock full of myths, fables and outright lies which no religion can defend using logic or any shred of scientific evidence to support in the light of our modern world.

I'm NOT trying to promote any faith based rants, and in my eyes everyone is welcome to their own brand of faith, but they have no place in our LEGAL world. Keep what you believe to yourself if it can't stand the light of day.

I for one am damn tired of hearing one or another elected public official denying the existence of common science that any random 5th grader can demonstrate. Who elects these twits?? Can we get some LOGIC installed in our laws? Please.
