A lot of people will say he'll get payed too much and won't be as good this year, but you're totally right. We have a need at catcher. And there's no one else. So it's either gamble on Martin and hope he can be as close to what he's done this year, than have to deal with AJ/FedEx/Butera and their bad offense. He's a much better hitter than those three.
A lot of people have a lot of hate for Martin, but it's about winning games and makes the team better. Suggest someone better we could sign before just flatly saying no.

Will he help the team? Yes, marginally. Are we winning with a black hole behind the plate? Yes, because everyone else is doing their jobs. Will somebody (Dodgers or another team) overpay for an over 30 catcher? You betcha.
Would add a lot of depth to our lineup. I don't expect him to repeat his season this year, but even a small drop off is a huge upgrade over what we have now. Not fun feeling like it is make or break when your 7 hitter is up knowing two automatic outs are behind him.
Depends on if gets a qualifying offer, I wouldn't pay 3/30+ and give up a draft pick for one maybe two good years.
