    Excluding Black, it's a rather weak field for Kapler to beat out. Not even sure how serious they can be about Black if they didn't jump out there early and keep him away from the Nats job. The Nats had to fumble and the Dodgers basically just scooped up the loose ball.

    Black at manager with Roberts as his bench coach would be pretty decent. Also wouldn't shock me if they were just doing Black a favor.

    Lefty Brett Anderson has decided to accept the qualifying offer issued to him by the Dodgers, ESPN.com’s Buster Olney reports on Twitter.




    So right now it looks like that 28-29yr old age group is willing to give it a whirl

    We'll find out how they feel about Ryu before the end of the year. If they like what they see he'll probably be the #3 and Wood possibly the #4A or 4B

    if it's as a #5, fine
    but if he pitches anywhere higher than in the #4 spot we're gonna have serious problems

    I'd like to see how the rest of the divison plays out in terms of their off-seasons before I go there. I mean they just wobbled their way to the post with Anderson as the #3. But if Ryu is good to go as the 3 and they re-sign Greinke or sign Price then they'll be fine.

    makes re-signing zack all that more a priority imo
    otherwise it's 3-4 lefties; kersh/wood/ryu and (maybe) price

    I don't know that they care about having a bunch of lefties. I mean Julio likely arrives for good in 2017, so we're lookin at 4 lefties by then anyway unless they move Wood or Ryu. They could always make a push for Gray. They have what it takes to get him.

    Not sure if Ryu will return back to his old form. Especially if his velocity dips.
    Shoulder surgeries impact a pitcher more than elbow

    So is it expected that ryu will be back 100% to be our number 3? Sounds risky if we're counting on that. Wait and see mode seems more like wait for ryu to not be ready and see the other free agents get eaten up

    It's Boras, but I don't know that he'd gain anything by fabricating. Ryu is locked up. We'll find out how the FO feels by the end of the year through their actions.
