If they really wanna go younger add Heyward and Gray, both 26. Then 3 way trade Freeman/Gonzalez. Freeman also 26.

Damnit, I didn't think of that. I don't think they'll get Price anyways, but they'd probably have to find something to do with Wood.

Wood is still making the minimum, so they could just stick him in the bullpen (.223 vs LH, .292 vs RH), he also has options, so they could send him to OKC if that suits them.

I'd rather have Fernandez than Greinke even if it means Urias I think

I didn't say they were going to flip the switch tomorrow. It's a gradual thing, which has already started by dealing salaries away like last off season. Over the next two years expect all of the big salaries (except Clayton) to go away. I expect to be under the luxury tax by 2017, really.

Well it would shock the shit out of me. That the A's would even consider that, I mean. Gray is under control for the entirety of his arbitration years, until 2020. Puig is owed $24.5 million until 2018. Why the fuck would they do that?

Because they're a team that constantly reshuffles, looks to add multiple impact players that are under control. There is a price and the Dodgers have the pieces.

Gray is cheaper, under control longer, and is a better player. If I were the A's I'd tell the Dodgers to go fuck themselves.

I tend to agree. After 2018, Ethier ('17), Crawford ('17), Gonzalez are gone, Kershaw will likely opt out after 2018. At present,

You obviously have your mind wrapped around Puig for Gray in a 1 for 1
