yeah, i was gonna say the window isn't gone, it's just now beginning to open. The big money layout that brought AGon, Crawford, et al here was the stop gap measure to make the team a competitor until the larger plan could take shape. Now we are seeing the fruit of that plan beginning to arrive with Joc and Seager, and Urias and De Leon on the horizon.

I understand the 'WIN NOW!! mentality, but I don't want to see that jeopardize the "WIN AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN" future that is a real posibility.

If you really have to resort to playing the "Typo" card than I feel sorry for you. If you want to have an intelligent discussion in which you may disagree with others who share the same passion for the same team than you should try again.

Yeah I mean I'm not going to sit here and say they've been perfect, because they haven't. They've tried to get too cute at times and I get that. But I do think they eliminate the silly mistakes that Ned often fell into.

I've had plenty of intelligent conversations. But the fact that I may or may not punch a time clock working for someone other than myself will preclude me from having one with you. Obviously you feel I might not be capable of possessing that intelligence if I'm "one of those".

What I meant was...... If you've ever seen how big money and big greed operates at it's core you'd recognize it again now. If you're a worker bee than chances are you haven't.

    Again, not asking or judging.

All that aside, playing the typo card is chickenshit and kills your credibility, IMO. Now, say my opinion is "Noted" or some shit, IDGAF.

I'm sorry, but if that is how you view "worker bees" then you ARE judging. Make no mistake.

And just for the record, I didn't "play the typo card". He posted an incomplete message with letters not forming a word at the end of it. Had he formed the word "your"...it still would have been an incomplete thought, and that was the reason for the "wtf?"

And frankly my dear, IDGAF about your opinion or your concept of my 'credibility'.

I'm not judging or in this case labeling, which is exactly what you're doing to me, as well as projecting your own shit.

Some people just haven't experienced what others have in life or in business. Not good, bad or judgmental, just reality.

I loved Dave's positive attitude at the presser and especially how he intently listened to every question and answered it as completely as he could. He seemed to make every reporter's question just as important as any other.

And in a somewhat similar fashion i think that Dave will be able to make the players feel understood by his patient attentive attitude.
That presser and the hiring of Dave is a big reason why i believe that a guy like Puig will be straightened out next season.

I am all for rebuilding the farm. It was woefully neglected under McCourt and had to be rebuilt. But at some point, farm pieces have to be moved for proven players.
Let me ask all those who support the FO at the moment a question. Am I out of line in hazarding a guess that the majority of you also believe that the playoffs are a crap shoot and all you have to do is make the playoffs and miracles will happen?
Well what are prospects then? How many actually turn into superstars? That is your crap shoot. When the team is on the edge of greatness, move some prospects( and that is all they are at the moment) and put the team over the top

    And I agree.

Well, no...not miracles. Chance happens. The Giants were NOT the best team in 2 of the 3 World Series they won. But they were the best team in that particular series that they played. The playoffs are a crapshoot. Look no further than the '88 Dodgers.
Again, I agree. But...just as in a lottery, the more tickets you hold the better your chance to win. And when you hold many valuable tickets, you can pick and choose which ones to hold and which ones to drop.

And that is the beauty of a deep farm system. You don't have to give up the prospects you don't want to, especially if you have many, many other talented prospects that provide value as well. Maybe we only move 1 top prospect and a hoarde of lesser ones. Maybe we don't move any top prospects. But we certainly don't have to move all or most of the top prospects.

(btw, for what it's worth, I don't believe this team is on the edge of greatness just yet. That will come in a couple of years when the big contracts clear and the youth gets a little seasoning. Another reason I don't want to risk everything on a high dollar FA or farm robbing trade.)

The cool aid that was spiked with "brinks trucks of money" may now be spiked with "long term plan". It doesn't change the fact that while new ownership has benefited the balance sheet of dodgers baseball, it has been ineffective at changing the motto "wait til next year"
