And if it is indeed a major league deal? Why? I guess it's cheap and they can cut him if he sucks in spring training but seems he could've been had for a minor league deal with a spring invite instead of burning a 40 man roster spot.

Plus he's a really meh pitcher weird

 

I really like the trades we didn't make, the Dee Gordon trade and the Frazier 3 way deal. It's awesome watching the spring training show and seeing all these young guys who can slot in at a variety of different positions.

I'm having a good time listening to the dire predictions for the upcoming season for the Dodgers on mlb network! The "experts" drooling over the D-Backs and their starters? I get it they got Zack and Miller but the other 3 are huge question marks! They have no depth of which we have plenty, we have their hitting coach who know's how to pitch to their line-up. We have the specs to make a huge trade if we want. I get it that having Zack is a huge upgrade but is he going to give you another 1.66 ERA in that ballpark? As for the Giants who I can see the love for based upon getting Cueto/Smardjia because Righetti is there and the fact that it's an even year but the D-Bags with that much love?? Go ahead "experts" trash us all you want I like being underestimated.

 

RIP Tony Phillips. I still remember him walking down to the clubhouse looking back after Gibby hit that HR in 1988. He was only 56!

Injury bug already popping up, Montas gone for a while, Seager got super sick in December and is down 15 lbs and now Micah Johnson is out for at least a week after needing stitches from knifing himself when cutting open an avocado. The last thing we need is another year like that!

 

Wonder just how good Yuli is at SS

 

The numbers say he had a good season at AAA last year and pitched 4 scoreless in the show.

What is puzzling to me is why the Royals released him, is he a head case or something?

And they really didn't burn a roster spot, they moved McCarthy to the 60 day.
