    - Diaz has shoulder tighness and is on the 7-day DL, but not expected to miss more than the minimum. Bad timing as he was on fire.

    - Bellinger is expected to be back here soon.

    - Sierra is rumored to be heading to Rancho by Thursday, but not sure whether it is as a starter or reliever.

    - It is also rumored that Trevor Oaks has been promoted to Tulsa

    Rounding up some quick bits
AAA- Urias is off to a great start for his age, not dominating, but also not getting overwhelmed. Lee has been great again, but still not showing anything flashy with his stuff. Cotton has had a rough go thus far with two very good games and two awful games(not going deep into games). Barnes is where you would think he would be while Johnson is off to a slow start.

AA- Scavuzzo's picking up where he left off, though not flashing as much power and is K'ing roughly 25% of the time. Farmer has continued his nice spring into the season and could be flashing a bat that is necessary to see him take the next step. Verdugo after another slow start(although this has been a much shorter stint) has been on fire the last 8 games. Calhoun is making a decnet bit of contact, but it is not showing for much as of now. Arrubarrena seems to be selling out for power and not much else. Anderson had a really bad game and two decent games, but his command is nowhere near where it needs to be. Brock Stewart has continued to dominate in AA after blowing away Hi-A. I know some folks who were really high on him, so this could be an interesting watch along with Oaks.

HiA- Fallen star Andrew Toles is off to a hot start. Kyle Garlick, who crushed his way through 4 levels last year after being drafted, has continued the trend this year, but striking out a ton. Though at 24, he may need to show his stuff in AA sooner rather than later. Diaz had begun to pick up steam before getting hurt. Leon is not playing much and is K'ing at a 50% rate. Both Sborz and Holmes are off to good starts, though Holmes still is struggling with his command.

LoA- Cuban signee Omar Estevez is off to a nice start with the bat, but that was his best feature(haven't heard anything about his glove, but 4 E's already). Matt Jones is showing some pop, but a ton of whiffs. Rest of prospects are hitting like shit outside of Garrett Kennedy, but I have no clue who the hell he is. Remember, this is really tough hitters league. The team did not really send any of the top pitching prospects, though you could see Alvarez there soon.

Toles might make for a nice trade chip at some point in the future if his ascension continues

To add on to this, Sierra took Trevor Oaks' spot who did indeed get promoted to AA. His first start was today and much like the rest of his season has been, it was a good one, 6 IP, 6H, 1 ER, 4 K's. Oaks and Brock Stewart are becoming interesting guys to watch.

Urias last night in relief 3IP, 3H, 0ER, 1BB and 3K's. Zach Lee after a very good start of the season either got jet lag or came crashing down. 3.1IP, 9ER! I'm going to the Quakes game tonight!!! Get to see Grant Holmes. Club 5, Row 14 seat 1. Plenty of seats left which was weird to me at least.

I think Lee was thrown off by the whole thing. His regular rest was messed up and he probably didn't throw any regular bullpens since he was supposed to be relief.

I went tonight and he looked good, hit 1 ball the other way. Holmes struggled with the long ball tonight and Joey Curletta hit a HR and threw out a guy at 2nd with a laser.

    I know you're just joking
An epic rash of injuries would probably have to happen for them to call on Diaz, they'd probably even call up Toles before Diaz.
Big " beware sign " there with Puig's picture on it, hopefully they're never forced to bring Diaz up like they were with Puig, still believe Puig's overall development was stunted, he produced and took MLB by storm tho so it just flew under the radar

Luckily Diaz is only 19, so they have the ability to be more restrained to calling him up than they were with Puig. Puig was 22 already at the time and had dominated 3 different levels of MiLB and kind of forcing the clubs hand at the time. The word on Diaz is that he is not the HR hitter that he has been showing. Remember, he's in a hitter friendly league so his power numbers should drop once he gets to AA, which may be soon though the clubs other top CF prospects are already there so he may stay in AA until Scavuzzo shows whether or not he is ready to see AAA.

He's 23 gonna be 24 in early August. Threw just about over 100 innings last year... He should be ready this year. Just hope the plan they have for him allows him to be ready for a full season soon

JDL is legit! Urias is too of course this is why we don't want 5 pitchers with long term commitments. He (Urias) pitches today at 11 Central time whenever the fuck that is lol.

I'm interested to know why they worked on with De Leon when they kept him down for so long. I know some scouting reports had him falling to less of a good 2 and more of a solid 3 due to his secondary stuff. I wonder if they were able to improve on his stuff to get some more consistency out of him.

So now reports are that Arrubabuena is going to be suspended by the team for the remainder of the season for repeated contract violations. At some point, perceived work ethic of Cuban recruits is going to have to be considered. Not that there haven't been successes, but it seems a lot feel entitled just because they made it this far.
