For all our bitching and moaning, one game out in early August with all the injuries they've had isn't bad at all. Roberts has done a good job keeping this thing together with duct tape, zip ties and band aids.
Dodgers have gone 5-5 over the last ten games... and still picked up a game. Being one game out is more about the Giants face plant than what the Dodgers are doing. And they (Gnats) will turn it around soon. We need to get more consistent, and quickly.
It's wonderful to see the SFCS lead dwindle...but you're right. With this joke SR we have in August here, the axe seems poised. Need some kinda solid, dependable performances soon. It's really getting hard to blame the bp for any meltdown now like Fien and Hatcher gave us so much earlier. Theirs was due to suckitude, not fatigue from overuse.
Yeah I think the pitching staff needs reinforcements quickly. We're playing pretty mediocre baseball...as you'd expect when your entire rotation is on the DL.

They scored 8 runs yesterday....so they have their moments. Reddick is still forcing, but Turner and Seager are still raking. Reddick did contribute to an outstanding outfield play. And keep Segudin in the lineup. He was definitely a spark in the bottom of the order.

This is where one of Kershaw's key contributions is sorely missed. Knowing that every fifth game the pen will get a day off. There's no one else in the rotation to give them that.
